우리 나비텃밭농원(숙소는 사진 오른쪽 빨간 지붕주택, 사진 왼쪽은 소형 관리주택)은 나비축제로 널리 알려진 함평군에 자리하고 있습니다. 돌머리 해수욕장이 바로 건너 편에 바라다 보이고, 약찜 해수탕으로도 유명한 함평 해수찜은 1킬로미터 인근에 있습니다. 우리 농원에서는 천연 갯벌 바닷가가 바로 내려다 보이고, 갯벌체험도 직접 할 수가 있으며, 주택 잔디밭에서도 서해안의 아름다운 낙조를 감상할 수 있습니다. 또한 인근이 모두 황토밭이라서 주택 자체가 약 50년 전에 황토 흙벽돌로 지어진 옛 흙 집으로, 최근에 벽체 하단을 편백(히노끼)나무로 시공하여 황토와 편백이 어우러진 힐링주택입니다. 오래된 흙 집이라서 콘도 등 현대식 건물에 비하면 불편한 점도 있으리라 사료 됩니다. 하지만 자연친화적 숙소인 점을 감안한다면, 하루밤의 숙박으로도 우리들의 건강 증진에 많은 도움이 되리라고 생각됩니다.

부부, 초등학생 3명과 친정 엄마까지 모두 6명의 가족이 함께한 여행이었습니다. 저희는 관리동에 호스트께서 상주하시는 줄 알고 갔는데 관리동과 게스트 숙소를 모두 사용할 수 있게 해주셔서 욕실이나 화장실 사용에 불편함이 없이 지낼 수 있었습니다. 너르고 푸른 앞마당은 선물과도 같았구요 ^^ 아이들과 여행을 다니면서 숙소를 선택하다보면 최신식이 곧 청결함을 의미하는게 아니라는 걸 깨닫게 될 때가 있는데, 이번에 스테이, 청산에서 머물면서 다시 그런 경험을 하였습니다. 최신식의 숙소는 아니지만 충분히 깨끗하고 부족함 없는 편의시설을 준비해주신 호스트께 감사를 전합니다. 정갈하게 정돈된 시골 할머니댁 같은 시설에 침구나 각종 욕실비품, 주방에서 사용할 수 있는 소소한 양념과 용품들까지 정말 친적집에 방문한 듯 한 느낌을 받았습니다. 다만 저희는 아이들이 초등 고학년이라서 침대나 소파, 식탁 등의 가구가 없어도 전혀 불편함없이 지냈는데 아이가 어리거나 좌식생활이 낯선 게스트들은 참고하셔야 할 듯 하네요. 가까이 이용할 수 있는 가게가 없다는게 가장 큰 불편이긴 하지만 이 부분은 미리 염두에 두고 준비해가신다면 그것을 상쇄할만한 장점들이 너무나 많은 숙소입니다. 머무는 5박 6일 동안 그림같은 풍광과 바람소리 새소리에 편안했던 시간이었습니다. 호스트분께서 감사드립니다. ^^
