I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. In the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, guests are only one mile from the Appalachian Trail, and some the most beautiful hiking in the state, including Cascades Falls, are only a short drive away. Additionally, the New River, with its kayaking, canoeing, boating and tubing, is only 20 minutes away.

Unwind in a spacious tiny home on a working farm with vegetables, herbs, fruits, dairy goats, sheep, and chickens. Enjoy the views, farm fresh food, local hiking and swimming holes, or if it's cold, cozy up by the wood stove! We offer sliding scale farm-to-table dinners on weekends. We love sharing our farmstead with guests and also understand if guests prefer tranquil time to themselves. We are a 20 min drive to Dragon's Tooth, and 10 minutes to VA42 (Kelly Knob or the Keffer Oak).

Hokie Homestead Cabin

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful country cabin situated on our six-and-a-half acre partial homestead on a quiet lane in Blacksburg with a view of Brush Mountain and a neighboring horse ranch. Enjoy fresh eggs from our chickens and seasonal vegetables from our garden as available, and visit our cuddly mini-pigs! This getaway is a perfect home base for Virginia Tech games and events, nearby vineyards, breweries, the Appalachian Trail, or the New River.

Cabin on the Creek

This 1 room cabin with kitchenette (2 top burner, small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker) with full bath is set on Toms Creek, fifteen minutes drive from Virginia Tech and the town of Blacksburg. The space itself is private, rustic and charming even though we live just next door. We thank you for no pets, vaping or smoking inside the cabin and we are happy to share that our onsite managers, Ray and Mara, will be handling all inquiries on our behalf.

Beaverdam Falls, Earlehurst Cottage

Built for $500.00 dollars "back-in-the-day," the Earlehurst Cottage was inhabited by The Carters, a humble, cute old country couple. Here, they raised two daughters. Today, the house is tastefully appointed where expected - & comfortable to modern standards - yet, it has been left as charming, rustic & cozy as it had always been: with elements of the original decor, windows, plaster walls, etc., being preserved. Pets stay for free!
