We renovated a 160-year-old traditional house in 2023. The total site is 700 tsubo (2300 m ²), and the building is 170 m ², making it very spacious. While it is an 8-minute drive to Kumamoto Castle, it is a cottage where you can relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle. The garden is full of trees and flowers, including a large camphor tree that has been there for over 160 years, black pines, Japanese maples, and bamboo forests, so you can enjoy the trees and flowers in all seasons. The host lives in the adjacent building, so you can feel at home. Take a big, deep breath and refresh yourself from the heart. ●Here’s what you need to know · There are many mosquitoes and insects because there is a garden with many trees. Sakitsu House is a private house located in Amakusa's Sakitsu Village, a World Heritage Site.You can use it for one person or a group. There are 4 rooms in total, 3 Western-style rooms and 1 Japanese-style room. We also have a living room and kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, gas stove, microwave, electric kettle and rice cooker.Cooking utensils and tableware such as pots and pans are also available. Amenities include a toothbrush, comb, hair dryer, shampoo, rinse, body soap, and washing machine. You can park about 3 cars in the garden on the premises.
