Apartment vacation rentals in Shenandoah River

Stayed at Erin’s place for a night and wish it was longer! The room is steps away from the restaurant I met with my friends at. It is situated near all that Del Ray and the rest of Alexandria has to offer. In addition, the bed was quite comfortable and the suite itself is quite luxurious.

I stayed in DC over 20 times in the past 20 years. I have to say Chris’s place was at the top of the list. I picked it because we were going to the Smithsonian zoo. Which was only a 8 minute walk to the Harvard walk in gate. The best restaurant within walking distance was ll Supremo Italian food. Very good for such a small place

We love visiting Shepherdstown and especially enjoyed the location of the apartment, which is very central to downtown, the university and the C&O canal. So convenient. The apartment was very clean and quiet. The kitchen is well equipped. We thought the apartment quite comfortable and enjoyed our week long stay. We will certainly try to book the apartment again next time we are in town. Oh - and we highly recommend the little natural/organic grocer/deli virtually next door to the apartment. We were able to find what we needed there and they have wonderful sourdough bread.

Excellent host. Very clean place, beautiful property. Laura was amazing. It was like staying with a good friend. We bought some of her eggs and delicious honey. We would definitely stay there again. My wife and I and our fur babies will miss Laura, Jerald, and Dasher.

Such a friendly host who truly cares about this property and the people who stay in it. She has a lovely welcome book with lots of information. Stayed here for two nights, Micheal was an impeccable host. The place was just as described, near to everything, and very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat.

What a wonderful retreat! I can't think of a better place to stay where you're surrounded by books, art and the countryside.

Beautiful location and a lovely apartment!

Our second stay here. Just as good as the first. We met our family most every day (15 minutes away) and got to participate in their many activities, and yet have a quiet, clean, large space to retreat to. They were so flexible that we felt like family !

We had a lovely stay at Jeff & Sam’s place. Everything was thoughtfully decorated, and the kitchen was well stocked. We especially appreciated the complimentary coffee and popcorn. You could tell that they put a lot of love and care into their space. Overall great stay and would absolutely book again.

Highly recommend Ann’s place! We traveled with our toddler, and it was perfect for him. They supplied a pack and play and tons of board books. My only thing to note is that the walkway to the space is not paved so be aware with small children and suitcases.

Kathryn's place at Starry Night was perfect. Everything was extremely clean, comfortable and very spacious. The bath provided everything you would need and more. The rain shower was great. The bed was very comfortable. Kathryn even provided a warming blanket for my husband, due to blood thinners, he is always on the cold side. Kathryn provided so many extra amenities; sparkling water, snacks, a variety of coffee and tea blends (that was great), and even eggs. The decor was beautifully done and made you feel right at home. Starry Night is in the country, which gave us a quiet, relaxing place to stay, just 20 minutes from Leesburg, where we were attending a church function. I enjoyed the outdoors by relaxing on the patio with my flavored tea and reading. You will not regret booking with Kathryn at Starry Night. Highly recommend.

This was a very last minute booking and our stay at Lowell’s was absolutely perfect for a night in Staunton. He’s a great host with a lovely space and we hope to be back!

The perfect place to spend a bit of time with relatives especially if you’re not spending a lot of time hanging out there. Bed was very comfortable. Patio was a pleasant place to sit among the trees with birds singing. We found the kitchen could have been better stocked if we had planned to cook meals other than breakfasts and snacks. The driveway is quite steep for flatlanders but not difficult once we figured out how to turn our car around. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and very affordable!

my fiancé and i stayed at Maryssa’s place for a couple of nights and it was very lovely. we got in much later than anticipated and it wasnt any issue at all. the room was spotless and the bathroom is nicely updated. the surrounding area is very drivable and there’s lots of diverse restaurants as well as the historic downtown winchester area to explore. we checked out the shenandoah valley museum - definitely worth it when the weathers nice, the hiking trails are beautiful!

We arrived late after an evening graduation. Easy self check in. Welcome package was a nice touch. The place was equipped with what was needed for a enjoyable stay. We had a car issue and owner messege me with solutions. Fortunately our family picked us up and we were able to continue celebrating. Was able to charge battery with her charger and extension cord. Maya assistance kept the graduation celebrations the focus. Much appreciated !

It was a cute little carriage house apartment. The jetted tub was nice, it had a coffee pot and blackout curtains. Though we didn’t use it, there were EV charging stations and worth noting. It’s about 5 miles from Oakland proper and 10 miles from the touristy part of Deep Creek, so close enough but far away enough. If you are looking for a place to get away with amazing views and to check out from the real world, this is the spot. Kam was responsive when we did message her. Definitely would recommend.

Katie went above and beyond. In town for the Cubs game and she made sure everything went great. Cant say enough about her. We will def consider again if back in DC. Thanks for the wonderful stay.

Ashley, Neil and Jane were responsive, helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable and well-cared for during our three weeks in their rental. The unit is in a beautiful and peaceful location along the Potomac River and was spotlessly clean and well appointed and supplied. As other reviewers have noted, the beds were very comfortable. We would stay there again and highly recommend the unit to others.

We had a great stay. The amenities gave us all the comforts of being in a home at the end of a long road trip to DC. We could spread out, rest and recover each day after seeing the sights of the district. The space was clean, comfortable, and exactly like the listing described. The metro station was only a couple of blocks away, and there were lots of options for food. Arsham was a great host, and we plan to stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Yoder School House. It was so peaceful and relaxing, especially the hot tub with a lovely view of the farmland and watching all the birds at the feeder and in the field over coffee in the mornings. The house had everything we could need - Rhoda is very thoughtful in stocking the kitchen and even leaving fun board games. We loved the proximity to the Casselman Creamery, and it was a great location for day trips to hike Mount Davis and explore Ohiopyle State Park in PA. WE would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend!

My friend and I had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful decorated house! The location couldn’t be better—just steps from the center of town and close to all the local shops, restaurants, and activities. The home itself is full of charm and thoughtful touches, with plenty of natural light throughout. One of the highlights for me was the whirlpool bathtub—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I loved waking up in the sunlit bedroom feeling totally refreshed. Highly recommend this gem of a place!
