Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Shawinigan

I highly recommend the place - interiors excellent, host very friendly and to the point, surroundings are serene and tranquil. Space wise, it’s not for more than 11 people in my opinion. 5 dedicated bedrooms for 2 persons each and then 1 more bedroom in the basement but the bed is wall to wall, so good enough for 1 bachelor. Really good couches but wouldn’t recommend them to sleep overnight unless you’re trying to cut on budget. Definitely didn’t feel like it’s good enough for 19 people as advertised, good that we were just 12 with a kid. In a nutshell, bet your money on it if you’re planning a peaceful vacation for 11 people. Thanks Renato!

Quel beau séjour ! Le logement est impeccable, propre et confortable. L’environnement est paisible et ressourçant, parfait pour décrocher. J’ai particulièrement apprécié l’accès au petit lac — une vraie perle ! Kayaks, jeux, et espaces pour relaxer : tout est là pour profiter pleinement de la nature. Un endroit à découvrir… et redécouvrir !

Arrivés dans un logement sublime pour un week-end en famille. Le chalet est parfaitement bien placé au milieu des arbres avec une terrasse vue sur la rivière, aucun vis à vis! Tout était propre et bien ordonné, alors oui il n'y a pas d'internet et très peu de réseau cellulaire mais juste ce qu'il faut pour faire le minimum. Et finalement ça fait du bien de vraiment décrocher! L'endroit est par contre assez reculé donc rien à proximité, il y a un dépanneur à 10 minutes au Sud mais je conseille de plutôt se déplacer au village de "la tuque" au nord c'est un petit 30 minutes et il y a un maxi et d'autres commerces pour faire le plein du chalet si besoin. De plus, pour les sorties nous conseillons fortement le petit parc juste avant "la tuque" car il y a un parcours de santé aux abords d'une belle cascade ainsi qu'un parc d'enfant et des cabanes avec des récits sur l'histoire locale donc très intéressant. What a great spot - so peaceful. The house is enormous, inviting, and comfortable. It was just me staying there for one night so way more house than I needed, but it beat the heck out of a hotel for the night. Despite the odd knicks and scratches of an older home, the place is wonderfully clean and the bed I slept in was very comfy - ah the silence of the countryside with the window wide open.

Julien’s chalet was breathtaking. It is located in a quiet area. The design and amenities were beautiful and very welcoming. There is a gorgeous little stream near the house where you can sit and enjoy what nature has to offer. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back for more!

Deuxième séjours dans ce chalet, pour aller pêcher au parc de la Mastigouche. Trois chambres, cinq lits dont un double. Équipements de cuisine complet. Salle de bain agréable. Salle de séjour propice aux bonnes soirées. Espace pour feux extérieur. Borne électrique. Petite rivière pour aller faire une trempette. WIFI dispo.

I had a fantastic experience staying at Lisa’s place! From the moment I arrived, everything was exactly as described – clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. Sylvie was very welcoming and prepared the loft with music and a book of places for food. Grocery store and restaurants were an easy 5min drive and very convenient. Thank you so much Sylvie. My cousin and I had an amazing night sleep. Scenery was peaceful.

Magnifique gite avec vue sur Lac. A 2 pas du parc de la Mauricie. Le chalet est très beau, pratique et équipé. Nous étions une famille de 5 à 81 ans et tout le monde y a trouvé son bonheur que ce soit au niveau des activités et du confort.

The most 5 star experience we’ve ever had on Airbnb - and we’ve stayed at some stunning places! It was a welcome retreat into nature with our dog Oso and the home had everything you could ask for. Full kitchen and espresso machine were a huge plus. Very clean and uncluttered. STUNNING views of nature from the large windows inside. Bonfire area with instructions and a beautiful lake a short drive and hike away. Hosts were wonderful and communicative. Highly recommend!

Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with small gifts from the owner, adding a warm and thoughtful touch to our experience. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking to unwind and immerse themselves in nature. Although nestled in the woods, a supermarket was conveniently reachable within 30 minutes by car. Plus, the fast internet made it easy to stay connected while enjoying this serene getaway.

Nous avons loué la maison pour un weekend vélo, et c'était tout près du parc. La cuisine était très bien équipé. Nous étions 6 et chacun avait son espace intimité. Nous y retournons sûrement en groupe.

Gilles place was exactly what we were looking for. Just my family and our dog, to relax and get some peaceful time. Our dog had plenty of space to run around and play all the time. And we had everything supplied to use the fire pit and the barbecue (wood and charcoal). It was a bit chill, but the weather was great so we also used the kayaks there. Great place and great host. Definitely recommend his place.

A beautiful chalet with all of the comforts of home. Chalet was spotless clean and beds were very comfy. A peaceful, private setting with wildlife.
