The property is only rented to those who have experience in wilderness cottages and know how to work with firesticks.

Our stay at this Airbnb was absolutely incredible. The cabin was perfect for remote work—good internet, peaceful surroundings, and everything we needed. The outdoor and indoor fireplaces made for cozy evenings, and everything was done. A special highlight were the hosts, who were super responsive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond. They can provide tours from the cabin, allowing for a true arctic circle experience. Ice fishing, northern lights, local stories, and shared local cuisines—it felt like a dream come true. So many pinch-me moments. Highly recommend!

Cozy, well maintained house in a bit isolate, calm area. We couldn't use the outside patio because it was too cold and everything was covered by snow, but enjoyed relaxing with fireplace in the living room. Can see Russia from the window. Saw a reindeer while walking around in the afternoon. Northern light at night.

Really a fantastic place that offers everything. Without a car, the property is of course difficult to reach, but Saariselkä is about 15 minutes away. Due to the quiet location and the low light pollution, you can of course see the northern lights much better. Fireplace and sauna were top class. Firewood was available and the kitchen equipment was also great. Otherwise, up to 6 people can sleep there (2 bedrooms with 2 beds each and 2 beds in the loft area). Keep in mind that the house is very bright due to the construction and also the windows cannot be opened, especially in the bedrooms, so it sometimes seemed a bit stuffy. All in all really fantastic, but for the next season unfortunately instead of €450/night already 600 will be due. Thanks for the fantastic property.
