Cottage Wipperoen has been in our family for 50 years. It is not on a holiday park, extra safe in these corona times! In 2018 it has been completely renovated and equipped with a new kitchen, lovely beds and underfloor heating. The best part is that it is in the middle of the trees. All freedom on our own terrain of 1100m2! From the cottage you walk into the forest in 5 minutes. Gees is centrally located in Drenthe: Emmen, the beautiful Orvelte and the shops of Hoogeveen are 20 minutes by car.

Located between Gees forestry and the Mantingerveld, with an unobstructed view over farmlands. Our farm was completely newly built in 2015, we live in the back house and the front house is furnished as a vacation home. 5 private parking spaces, a spacious garden with terrace where you can sit. 1 ground floor bedroom with en-suite bathroom, the other 4 bedrooms on the first floor with shared bathroom.

Had a super nice stay for 1 night with our two kids. Upon arrival, Annemieke told us about the grounds and the horses. Our children were allowed to look everywhere to see how things are going at the manege. Atmospherically furnished rooms with beautiful furniture, with all the comforts. If you have children, book a pony riding lesson. The class was educational and up to standard. Thanks for the fun time!

The tiny house is large enough for up to 2 people. It is not solidly built. It is a type of wooden construction. It is very cozy and I came to enjoy using the pellet oven. It's a little cramped in the bedroom. You should only see it as a room for sleeping. Otherwise, everything fits. The door frames are a little low for a 183 cm person. Ducking solved the problem. It is very nice to sit outside in the evening at sunset. Sometimes a dog or a horse comes by. You are very close to nature.

I enjoyed a very quiet and comfortable stay at Jan and Jannie's cottage. You can walk from the yard into the surrounding nature areas, and when it rains, you don't have to get bored in the cottage: there are books and games, and there is a large TV on the wall. The cottage has a private terrace that opens onto the courtyard. On Saturday, there were some people, ponies and covered wagons walking around, but that also had something cozy, I thought. I'd love to come back!
