You will need to travel 3kms on a steep mountain dirt road through the forest between the ranch & the highway. An SUV is recommended or you can catch a moto taxi in town upon arrival. From there you can enjoy the wonderful sound of birdsong and the sound produced by the water of a small river that runs nearby. There is plenty of room to walk with incredible landscapes. The cabin is located a 5-minute drive from downtown San Mateo Rio Hondo, 30 minutes from San José del Pacifico

I live on the edge of the village and my front yard is the forest and a few steps away is the main trail to the river and forest. This is an authentic Zapotec village. I have lived here for 13 years and I will give you a short tour upon request. Many guests say it's like being in a National Geographic special!
