Punta Pajaros Villa 2 Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca

SidraRating, 5 stars2 months ago
I visited with my husband and daughter and all 3 of us agree that this is one of our favorite all time places. There was a perfect balance of being in nature and comfort. The architecture and natural surroundings are one of a kind. There is so much to explore in the area and the only problem was that we both wanted to stay on the property and explore. I also cannot say enough about how excellent the restaurant was. The food was truly outstanding, one of us is a vegan and it was not problem, the menu changed daily which was incredible and we were able to try different dishes. The care that goes into everything from the thoughtful design, the care and reverence for the environment and every single person that works at Punta Pajaros is incredible and we really appreciated it. Thank you for sharing your special spot with us. We feel so lucky to have visited and are already plotting a return.

Casa Tiny near Casa Wabi

KatherineRating, 5 stars2 months ago
I had seen Claudio’s place featured in design magazines, and when I learned it was available on Airbnb, I jumped at the chance to book it. Its design is just beautiful - from the way it is situated on the land (the line tall tree out the window, the winding path to the house), to its simple but beautiful lines (this is a construction where less is more), to its short distance to one of the most beautiful and dramatic beaches I have ever seen. Note that this place is remote - be sure to prepare in advance of your stay, whether it’s downloading and reviewing the house guide, packing plenty of insect repellant, or stopping at the market in advance of your journey. Once you are there you won’t want to leave.

Nico has created something really magical and I highly recommend staying here if you are at all curious about superadobe, sustainability, or simply want to get away from it all. We really loved our stay and appreciated Nico’s time and energy in telling us about how he went about creating this magical place.

Casas María Matilda | Casa María, Casa Wabi area

ChristopherRating, 5 stars4 months ago
I was met at Casa Matilda with a team of people who took care of me like family. Julio and team made me feel like I was royalty. Wow, I cannot wait to come back. The location is the back house of two properties right on the beach. The house is situated so that the front of your house has ample privacy and beauty. Waking up and rolling into the plunge pool should be an everyday thing. What a treat. Restaurants and creature comforts are right across the road at the hotel. What more can you ask for? Definitely plan to spend some evenings on the roof admiring the big sky and listening to the waves crash. I miss it already.
