This is a stunning place secluded away from anything nearby. Great for a retreat to be restful, listen to nature and admire the beautiful horses. Cheila was an incredible host, super responsive to any questions or comments and gave us some beautiful lemons from her tree. The house is really well throughout and all amenities are included. On our trip to Portugal, the Douro Valley was the highlight of the trip from the storybook views to the spread of freshly picked cherries, homemade preserves and wine awaiting our arrival to the cleanliness and comforts of a beautiful home perched high up on the vineyard terraced hills. The game room was an incredible surprise - there are seven eighties arcade games along with a ping pong table, a foosball table and an infinity game with over 150 board games built into the table. The hospitality was second to none. Gabrella, the property manager, was one step ahead of us ensuring that we had everything we needed to make our stays one of the most memorable. Sephi, the owner, is one of the most generous people we have ever met. His passion for region and willingness to offer his time to you is amazing. We spent one morning touring his winery, learning the old way of making wine and enjoying the fruits of his labor – an extraordinary experience not a just another Air BnB.

Priscila's property is very well located - close enough to walk to almost anything but far enough to be very quiet and peaceful. It has been finished to a high standard - a lovely bathroom, a well-equipped kitchen, lots of storage. There are multiple lighting options, which is good because it is a bit dark - long and narrow. with windows at either end. We enjoyed having our own entrance, right into the street -so, very private. The locks are very secure (not that we felt the need) and there is a good video doorbell system. The bed was very comfortable with nice linens, but I would say it was smaller than a North American "Queen". There is a good washing machine and space outside in an enclosed courtyard for drying. Priscila was extremely responsive in all our communiqués. She was gracious about allowing us to leave our luggage until later in the day. We stayed a whole month, so I think we really put this AirBnB property through its paces! No regrets. Thanks Priscila!

We loved Jose Mario's house. Everything was very clean and tidy, the neighborhood was very quiet, the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were sparkling, lots of light, parking at the door and comfortable to see the north of Portugal. Everything you could want when you rent a house on Airbnb at a more than reasonable price. Just perfect.

Great value! My family and I stayed here for five nights. While it wasn't ideal for our family with a toddler due to the many stairs, we still had a fantastic time. The place is incredibly quiet—perfect for a relaxing break! The pool area is a huge plus, with all sorts of toys that kept our kids entertained. They were never bored! We stayed in Casa Alambique, which has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The upstairs bedrooms were spacious with very comfortable beds. However, the downstairs bedroom has an old, small bed, so I'd recommend it only for kids or teens. The team was amazing! They offered lots of recommendations and the place was spotless. We had a small issue, and they took care of it immediately. Better than 5-star hotel service. Highly recommend!

A lovely and unique stay with your very own waterfall! The host is quick to respond and most helpful. We enjoyed our stay either out exploring or by the pool.

The most fantastic stay, we will definitely be back! The location and accommodation was even better than the photos and the host and staff were so friendly and approachable. The views from the entire place were fantastic. A very private and peaceful stay, and the breakfast baskets were very generous, full of fresh fruit, bread etc. We did a wine tasting on the vineyard and it was so reasonably priced and great wine. There was also a lovely peacock and cat that roamed the vineyard and came to say hello on occasion. Both pools were fantastic! Thank you for a really memorable holiday 🥰.
