Farmstay vacation rentals in Santa Barbara County

We rented both the main house and the Zen Studio for the family to celebrate my mother’s 90th birthday. The setting is beautiful and made the weekend feel very special. We had everything we needed, especially in the kitchen, and everything was clean and comfortable . Nice attention to detail such as cabinets with labels. Lots of places outside to rest, relax and enjoy the lovely views. Grocery store nearby.

Lots of room for extra friends/family. Great stove top/easy cleaning up. Clean pool, working laundry room. Amazing outside view! Checks off as a really great spot to stay for a few days. Outside amenities is okay could be better. But overall, the stay was pleasant.

Peter's house was perfect for traveling with young kids. Peter and his wife set up bedding for our young kids which was so helpful especially with our evening arrival. There were so many fun toys for the kids to play with. The kitchen was well stocked. We really enjoyed our stay. Peter and his wife thought of everything and are great hosts. Thank you for everything!

Had a lovely time at the cottage. Very quiet, private and peaceful. It really felt far away from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles! Melani and Chris are very responsive and proactive. Loved meeting the animals! Thank you!

My Husband and I absolutely loved the house it was exactly what we wanted!! We took our puppy star and there was so many doggy supplies you can use and it’s completely gated which was perfect for her🐶 The Horses are beautiful and breathtaking! They come right up to the gate to greet you(: definitely worth it and we will definitely be back with our son 😇

Jeanne’s cottage was an excellent place for our little group of 3 and 2 dogs, a quick drive to SY and perfectly located for road biking. There is so much wonderful space to wander on the grounds and perfect lawn for dogs to romp around. The cottage is thoughtfully furnished and the kitchen is well stocked. Jeanne and her husband were so nice and made us feel right at home. Without question one of the most dog friendly Airbnb I’ve ever stayed!

Such a beautiful nature spot! Wish I’d booked another night so I could spend a whole day by the creek. I’ll definitely be back again!

Enjoyed our stay at Peacock Hill. Peace quiet and great views. Easy drive to SLO for graduation activities. Lauren quick to respond from sign up. Great spacious apartment, clean welcoming. Nice to escape the hustle and traffic. town near by for supplies.👍

We enjoyed our stay here! The house was extremely clean and included all the amenities needed. The beds were very comfortable, and the linens were crisp and clean. Using the August app to lock/unlock the front door was a breeze and helpful. Will definitely consider staying here again next time I'm in the area!

This was a great place if you want peace and quiet and the serenity of being out of the city and in a large house with lots of space for large families. The bedrooms were great, and everything was very accessible, especially the large tables and the large counter seating which we made use of every night.

Our stay was incredibly comfortable, relaxing, and enjoyable. The backyard was really well designed as there were many comfy gathering places which includes hammocks, campfires, and marshmallow pits. The house was overall well equipped and extremely clean.

Absolutely loved staying at Natasha's place. It's a short drive from downtown, so it was close enough but also very peaceful away from the buzz. The animals on the farm are super friendly (her cat Nacho became my instant best friend!) Natasha also was very nice and even turned the hot tub on in the evening for a great unwind. Will definitely be staying again!

I loved staying at this cottage core-like farm stay! I wanted to experience a farm area to live in and it definitely was satisfying. I loved walking around and exploring the cows, chickens, and pigs in their habitats. The living space itself was really cute and colorfully decorated! Loved the little pictures of cows and the towels were especially soft. There were helpful amenities like cotton balls, toothpaste, floss, lotion, chocolates, shampoo and body wash. It got pretty cold at night but the heater worked really well. They have a convenient AC as well. The bed was kind of squeaky and there was a stain on the blanket but didn’t notice it until afterwards. Otherwise this was a super peaceful and cute stay! The hosts were really responsive and let us borrow a phone charger when we forgot ours.

We loved staying at this place, it is surrounded by beautiful nature, it is very quiet and secluded. The tiny house is spaceous in a way and very comfortable. Will definitely recommend this place to ofhers who visit the area.

A stunning and thoughtfully designed property—very clean and full of character. The owners clearly put care into every detail. A few things to note: if you're sensitive to light, know that the room-darkening shades don’t cover all windows, so mornings are bright and warm, including the living/kitchenette area, which faces another property. While it didn’t feel like anyone was watching, we would have appreciated curtains for both privacy and comfort. The same goes for the gorgeous balcony—it’s lovely, but it didn’t feel particularly private. The layout is cozy for four; the single bathroom sits between the two bedrooms and has only a small circular mirror. Coffee lovers will appreciate the high-end grinder (my husband did!)

Stayed at the madeleine house over memorial day weekend. It’s a great location off the beaten path from town, but still close enough to get to all the things Ojai has to offer. Location is convenient if you’re interested in hiking. We walked the trail that’s right by the house, which was really nice. The two living spaces are convenient for larger groups. The caretaker was also very helpful. Would stay again!

David's place was perfect for us! It is so comfortable and we loved watching Directv...what a treat! The kitchen space is fully stocked with lots of clear directions. David was very helpful and accommodating. Even the main house seems close to the guest house, it is still VERY private. Thank you David for a wonderful stay!!

Exceptionally clean cottage with a well stocked and outfitted kitchen. Vicky is a terrific host and we hope to return to this property one day soon. I highly recommend this place.

The place was amazing and you could walk around to everything. Highly recommend the backyard and the sofa swing where everything so relaxing

Sophie and Isaac were great hosts: responsive, helpful and friendly! The cabin was fully stocked with everything we needed for a cozy weekend of cooking good food, making beautiful charcuterie boards and savoring some wine on the deck surrounded by shade making trees. We enjoyed a hike at the nearby Enchanted Forest Trail, detoxed in the infrared sauna, and took the kids to the community pool. The cabin is divided into 3 floors- the main floor, the mezzanine and the basement. We were a large group, 5 adults, a teenager and 3 kids and the house was spacious and intimate at the same time. It had lots of areas to hang out in. We were there in the Summer but I imagine it is also magical in the Winter with the Pine Mountain covered in snow. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay at this beautiful home—spacious, well-decorated, and perfect for our group of adults, kids, and a toddler. The kitchen was fully stocked, and the outdoor space was peaceful and toddler-friendly. Location was great for exploring beaches and local parks. We did run into a couple of hiccups—a short delay at check-in due to a lock code issue and one clogged toilet during the stay. The host was responsive and helped resolve both quickly. Despite these minor issues, the overall experience was fantastic. The home is comfortable, family-friendly, and exactly as listed. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Location was perfect. I stayed here with three friends and we were able to walk to multiple wineries and Santa Ynez, Los Olivos, and Solvang were all short Uber rides away. The home is centralized which fit our needs really well. Kris’s was awesome - three bedrooms and a cozy living area. We were able to have a tea party on the patio and look out at the gorgeous views while doing so. The location was not only pretty but was private and felt very safe. The TV in the living room was a good size and had a clear picture and Netflix but was a little older so we weren’t able to access apps like Peacock or Hulu so we went into town and bought a Roku and that ended up working out really well. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware, plates, cutting boards, glasses, and silverware and there is a pool table and bikes in the garage for those interested. Really a great place to stay when coming to Central CA.

We had a great time with our dog at Randy’s. The view to the ocean from the porch is really beautiful. There were so many birds flying through. We were only 10-20 minutes to every town in the area. You share the back building with another Airbnb (Avocados), a resident, and the laundry/flex space but it still feels pretty secluded. We barely saw anyone else during our stay. Cute cats moving through. Slept great on the bed. The goats and cats were really cute. Quick drive down the one to the dunes. If you have a larger group I’d definitely recommend renting both of Randy’s units at the same time.
