The historic house shows the year 1773 painted on the walls. The house was originally located in the village's cluster yard and was bombed during World War II. When the farm building was erected on the farm, the remains of the house were set up as a living room until the barn and today appears as an intimate and cozy little house with lots of history and soul. The house in the middle of the valley, down towards the fjord and at the innermost part of Høgsfjorden provides an unforgettable holiday in this old living room.

At the lake there is a pavillion with a remarkable view where you can enjoy the sunset. A boat and canoe are available for free. It's a very private and quiet location, but still perfectly located in Ryfylke with all its breathtaking hikes nearby. In 2020 the bathroom and hall was totally refurbished, and a fiberoptic cable was installed with a fast wifi-connection.

From the house it is a 10 minutes drive to the ferrydock in Forsand, where there is ferry connection to Lysebotn.
