Cozy Space with a View of the Volcanoes No. 1

LucyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Ana Maria and her husband were extremely kind and welcoming and I felt part of the family. I loved the room and attached bathroom and there were 2 towels provided, plus a bath mat, which I appreciated. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. I was slightly disappointed that the room itself didn’t have a view of the volcanoes, but it is light and airy and there’s a fine view from the rooftop terrace, where i ate breakfast. Desayuno was excellent and Ana Maria was also happy for me to use the kitchen. Overall, a great stay.

Large room in zone 1

ClaudiaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We stayed with Agus and we would do it again. Agus made us feel like home! We were a bit concerned about how far we would be from an event we were going but the fact is that the location was pretty close to everywhere else. We thank Agus for being so supportive and sharing recommendations of places to visit, and also being so warming during our stay!

Ruth's House (Colonial House) 1

Yin YinRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Ruth was the perfect host! I felt like I was joining a family. They helped practice Spanish with me and not only did I enjoy breakfast with everyone staying at her place (there were also long-term tenants e.g students going to Spanish school) but I was also invited to join for lunch where I was able to try a local dish, Pepián. The location is on the further side for Antigua standards but you can get to everywhere you need in 15 minutes or less. Antigua is pretty small anyway. But if you want a local feel definitely book with Ruth! Her housemaid Maria was also lovely!

Homestay experience - Room with private bathroom

ParnazRating, 5 stars1 month ago
It’s hard to describe this place in words. If you’re the type of traveller that values connecting with local people this is the place for you. As soon as I came in, they welcomed me like family- I mentioned being hungry and she put out a whole spread for me to eat in 10 minutes. Also made me breakfast that was probably some of the best food I had on my trip just out of kindness. For such an intimate experience, I was surprised at the level of privacy I had with my own room and bathroom. The location is perfect bc you can get to the main square in about 10-15 minutes. Probably one of my most memorable experiences and a highlight of my trip staying here. Thank you to Lucy and her husband for everything.

PRIVATE ROOM in cozy apartment, with breakfast!

AlexRating, 5 stars95 months ago
From the time I reserved with Ana Lucrecia, she was very responsive and communicated frequently to make sure everything was clear prior to arriving. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had a change of plans last minute and didn't stay at her location, however, she was extremely understanding and still made herself available if we needed anything while in Guatemala. While I unfortunately can't speak about her place since we had to cancel last minute, I can say with complete confidence that Ana Lucrecia goes above and beyond the call to make sure you not only have a pleasant stay but an extraordinary experience while in Guatemala. She even checked in with us to make sure things were going well on the trip days after our reservation. I highly recommend Ana Lucrecia if you want someone who truly cares about your experience.

Antigua Family Homestay 3 Meals/Day

CarloRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Elsa is a very friendly host. She made great effort to make sure that I was comfortable during my stay. The meals she makes were tasty, served in variety, and enough to feel satisfied and not hungry afterwards. The room I stayed in was spacious even with with a queen bed, desk, cabinets, and a chair. I felt right at home staying in Elsa's house. I would definitely recommend her house to feel comfortable and learn more about the local culture.
A hammock is suspended in a shaded area, surrounded by greenery and colorful flowers. A painter's stool and a palette rest nearby, while a large, abstract piece of artwork leans against the wall. Natural light enhances the vibrant colors of the space.

Panoramic view in Antigua with breakfast included

ElleRating, 5 stars5 months ago
The space is private with a shared courtyard, rooftop balcony and kitchen with rooms encircling the beautiful courtyard. There is someone on staff at the front desk all day and into the evening to ensure a safe and comfortable stay. The rooftop balcony is a wonderful space to have a bottle of wine and Watch the sunset. Close to shops and restaurants this is a great location in Antigua. The bathroom did not have ventilation was the only minor critique, but a fan was provided to keep circulating the room. Would come back again!

The perfect place in La Antigua.

KristineRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Palacio de Dona Beatriz is in a secure gated community. It is very safe and quiet. The facility is more beautful than the photos. The staff was wonderful, kind, helpful and responsive to all our requests. The breakfasts were outstanding and generous. We booked out the whole place for my family to stay while attending my son's wedding. We were busy, with odd hours and stressed at times. The staff was flexible and smoothed the way for us. Everyday! If you think Palacio de Dona Beatriz will meet your needs I would look no further. They have my highest recommendation!
An entrance with a corrugated metal facade is framed by green vines. The double glass doors lead into a warm interior, revealing a cozy space with a colorful rug and wooden furniture visible through the transparent curtains.

Village Life: Cozy Room (Ópalo) , Garden, Yoga

NesanetRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Such a delightful stay at Ginger’s casa! It really felt like a home away from home. Communal breakfasts were the highlight - setting the tone for the day. It is clear that Ginger loves hosting and creating a warm home for her guests to land. I am so happy I chose to stay here during my visit to Antigua. The only thing I will say is that if you stay in San Juan de Obispo during Semana Santa, I highly recommend coming home at a decent time as many of the roads in Antigua are closed at night and it can be very challenging to uber home.
