The sabbatical house

Set in a coffee lot by a unique wetland area, this home is about twenty minutes away from Antigua. Still, it feels a world away. You'll spend peaceful days in the lush gardens and walk to the Mayan towns of San Antonio and Santa Catarina Barahona. Ana Maria and her husband were extremely kind and welcoming and I felt part of the family. I loved the room and attached bathroom and there were 2 towels provided, plus a bath mat, which I appreciated. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. I was slightly disappointed that the room itself didn’t have a view of the volcanoes, but it is light and airy and there’s a fine view from the rooftop terrace, where i ate breakfast. Desayuno was excellent and Ana Maria was also happy for me to use the kitchen. Overall, a great stay.

Great place. Very modern, spacious and clean. Felt brand new with a really nice layout. A lot of natural light. Very large comfortable bed. Would be a nice place for a long term stay. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to the Main Plaza, or you can walk 5 minutes and get a Tuk Tuk and be anywhere fairly quickly. If staying right in the center of town is not overly important to you, I highly recommend this place.

This is a must stay space in Antigua! The location is perfect and close to everything without begin noisy at night. The bed was comfy, the kitchen was beautiful and well stocked and the hosts were great and easy to communicate with. Would recommend this to anyone!
