Felt like it was just lke my home accept they have a hot tub that I used almost every night during my stay also had a beautiful garden. Is very quiet and relaxing.

Really great location in the red woods. Perfect place to spend a quiet weekend. The kitchen was well equipped. The fridge had a whole entertainment component built in so it was nice to use to play music in the kitchen. The outdoor space is super private and the hot tub is so peaceful. Bathroom is nice. Shower is spacious. Comfortable sleeping options. Overall a clearly well loved and taken care of space.

My family and I spent Christmas and New Year's at Justin's place, enjoying his beautiful decorated tree, thoughtful gifts, and delicious cake from a well known bakery and the stunning views of the mountains and city lights, including a firework show from the city. Justin‘s house is just big enough that we all have our own personal space but cozy enough that as a family we were all together.

We live down in Santa Cruz and wanted to treat ourselves to a poolside weekend in the mountains (and this place did not disappoint!!). Would certainly stay again and appreciate how communicative the hosts were. As we get into summer we should have known better and brought our citronella candles because the mosquitos were out with a vengeance and forced us inside- so we recommend prepping for bugs if you want to stay poolside for sunset.

We booked this place for a family staycation to spend a long weekend doing nothing but relaxing. This place exactly fit the bill. The hot tub was amazing, the pool was lovely and clean. Our little daughter thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. The place was clean and well appointed with amenities. Best of all, when we realized we might end up arriving earlier then check in time, Alex promptly set us up to arrive a while hour and a half before time!

Definitely five star quality of decor and architecture..Qian was super accommodating, absolutely amazing - so kind, and friendly. And the bed was super comfortable and atmosphere was very tranquil. We felt like we were in Tuscany. I would definitely stay again. Thank you Qian :)

This was a great escape in Oakland! Every guest had their own bathroom and the kitchen/living room space was so spacious.

Our stay at Emkay’s was magical and peaceful. He truly thought of everything and added special touches that made us feel welcome and comfortable. We spent our first day enjoying the private creek and beach area, and each night we relaxed in the hot tub before bed. I highly recommend staying here and taking in the beauty that surrounds this wonderful place. We will definitely be back!

Our family group of 10 had a wonderful stay here. The home itself is full of character and in a truly peaceful setting. The road leading to the home is quite narrow and requires careful driving (as stated in the listing) but the destination is worth it. We throughly enjoyed our time here and recommend it for larger families/ groups.

This was one of my best Airbnb experiences! The place was just like the pictures, private without feeling too isolated, and spotless. Shannon was an excellent host, very communicative and responsive, and even came to help us within 20 minutes when we managed to lock ourselves out. I also appreciated that there were no excessive cleaning requirements or checkout procedures, and everything came with clear instructions. I was told that a vehicle with a higher clearance would be good to have to get into the driveway, and I’d agree with this, but her instructions for getting to and from the place were really clear and easy to follow so no issues there. I’d definitely recommend this place for a nice peaceful getaway!

Lovely place to stay. Kitchen and bathroom were modern and lovely. We Cooked every meal at the house and it was a breeze. The heated bathroom floor was a lovely bit of luxury. There is a house close by, i didn't quite realize how close, honestly it wasn't a problem at all. Heard a saxophone being played at 6am briefly..once. If you an overly private person, perhaps the other house is a bit close, but, honestly it's also fine. Overall, wonderful place to stay, we felt extremely relaxed.

Hands down the best Airbnb we've visited. Very secluded and gorgeous property. The property is special and well-appointed. We loved the private beach. A great getaway from the hustle and bustle. Emkay was extremely friendly and helpful. They worked very hard to make this area a great stop on the journey. The unit was small and cozy, but it had everything we needed. We'll be back again.

really nice home and details, friendly host and beautiful garden. pretty quiet, some normal neighborhood noise but overall good, comfortable stay. nice bed and kitchen had basics. we felt the peloton bike in the middle of the space threw off the zen vibe- an additional shelf or tiny table to set our belongings would've been preferred. we also would've liked for the outdoor space to be completely private but it wasn't an issue. I would recommend to a friend and would stay there again! thank you nikole :-)

The Aerie is definitely a hidden gem, we had such a relaxing time. I didn’t even realize a spot like this was available and affordable in Oakland. It was definitely worth hiking up those 108 stairs. Im definitely coming back!
