Fantastic place! It was quiet and felt like a private paradise (even though it is like a little resort with maximum 11 guests). Unfortunately you can't swim in the lagoon but the pool and garden made up for it. The cook and the staff were very nice and we felt very welcome and the food was delicious!

A good location close to the national park but it's the staff that really make this place. Everyone was so friendly and helpful but Two who stand out were the chef, Chanaka, who gave us a lovely cooking class with a great prawn curry and Indunil who was front of house organising and making sure everyone had everything they needed.
A modern, two-story villa is surrounded by lush greenery, featuring a welcoming facade with several large windows. The entrance is illuminated by soft lighting, highlighting the elegant architectural design. A cozy porch area is visible, providing a warm and inviting entryway.

It was a calm and peaceful stay. Everything was great. Felt right at home. Special thanks to Malinda who took care of us. Made some nice tea and who was very helpful. When booking ask if the washroom is an attached one that’s the only inconvenience I faced but apart from that it was a great stay. I would absolutely recommend it.
A treehouse is nestled among lush greenery, elevated on stilts. Large windows allow for natural light to enter, while a small deck is visible, featuring wooden chairs. Surrounding foliage blends harmoniously with the structure, creating a serene, natural environment.

THE BACKWATERS LODGE IN THE WILDS OF WILPATTU

The Backwaters is a beautiful, peaceful place and the perfect location for safaris in Wilpattu. we had a lovely warm welcome woth cool towels and sweet tea, perfect after a long journey from the airport. Tarique arranged our safari tour for us, with pick up at The Backwaters and it was a reasonable price. The rooms were great, clean and the air con was very handy. The staff were wonderful, particularly Lakshi and Ikram, who couldn't do enough for us ❤️ The chill put area by the lake is so beautiful and peaceful, wish we could have stayed longer.

Super friendly owner and staff. The SriLankan breakfast was fabulous, the room was great, super air-conditioning . The best part though was Manjula and his staff. They were helpful, informative and gave us a real insight into how real people live in Sri Lanka.
A well-lit bathroom space features a modern pedestal sink topped with a rectangular mirror. Wall-mounted glass shelves are positioned above the sink, complemented by sleek light fixtures on either side, all set against light-colored tiled walls.

Nimals was a great place to stay. It’s a little off center but all of Anuradhapura is very spread out so your gonna need tuk tuks He has previously worked in tourist hotels so room/batg was at a higher standard of bed pillows & linen & towels He speaks good English & suggested many things to max my experience of this beautiful town like seeing Minhitale … a must. No food in booking but plenty of tea as per listing I loved it … has a great old dog too

we had a wonderful stay here. The room was very clean, the bed very confortable. The AC was working very well, so we had a refreshing sleep. The communication with the two ladies was easy going. They were always ready to help us. We will come back for sure.
