The gîte has a private entrance in an authentic ambiance (anno 1650). The market square is 50 meters away. There is plenty to do in this tourist region: e.g. canoeing, hiking and biking tours, visiting castles and caves, brocade markets, etc. 15 minutes away is the medieval city of Sarlat.
