Cozy private apartment between Osaka and Kyoto

Ai's place is a great place with a traditional Japanese vibe but has modern facilities. Even though, we checked in very late at night, around 23.00, she was really helpful in guiding us to her place and showing us around. With one double bed and 2 futons, it was more than enough for my wife, my 8 year old son, 18 year old daughter and myself. The place was clean, separated bathroom and toilet, very good water pressure and hot water, it was a temperature controlled shower, so the hot water was very stable. Not to forget the famous Japanese bidet, very easy to use, very convenient. The washing machine was not available when we were there, but amazingly, Ai offered laundry service with NO charge! What a great gesture. Another amazing thing is, the check out was supposed to be at 11.00, but Ai let us have a late check out until 13.00 with NO charge! Most Japanese Airbnb even charge by the minute for late check outs. What an amazing, thoughtful, & kind person Ai is! Thank you so much Ai!!!

Private Studio Two Beds - Between Osaka And Kyoto

LiliaRating, 5 stars3 months ago
This place is absolutely lovely, had a refrigerator which is amazing to store morning coffees (I love the 7/11 coffees) but also supplied tea and coffee with a kettle if needed. Natalie was so great for check in even though I ended up being super late because of trouble figuring out transport. There is a large hill to get up, but it's not too much of an issue as it's small. It's right near Hirakatashi station which has so many connections and the Keihan line which will get you everywhere. I had a few issues with the wifi in my room, but it was fine outside of my room so I just ended up working downstairs. Also had very easy checkout which was wonderful
A living area features a large wooden table surrounded by round cushions on tatami flooring. A television is mounted on the wall opposite. Sliding shoji doors separate the area from a sleeping space with a spacious bed, adding a traditional Japanese aesthetic.

The room was larger than I thought, and the amenities were plentiful, and it was very well received by my companions.I especially appreciated the towels, which were soft and absorbent. It is a 10-minute walk from the station, so a car is recommended. There are restaurants nearby, but it's a short walk.

I really enjoyed my stay at Yukiko’s place, it was a quiet neighbourhood that you could escape from most tourists in the city centre. You have everything you need within 2mins walk: Subway, Supermarket, Daiso, convenience store! What to not like? The flat is cosy where I can relax and make food at home on a rainy day. Not to mention it is so close to Kamo River, it was perfect spot for jogging and picnic! 10/10 would recommend friends to come and stay :)

Kyotao Enjoy the whole traditional Japanese house

VincentRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
A perfect spot for anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful retreat, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We made a small mistake and forgot to return the key when checking out, so we ended up leaving it at Kyoto Station. Bella was very understanding and went out of her way to pick it up, which we truly appreciated. Overall, a wonderful stay in a serene location—highly recommend it if you're seeking calm and relaxation!

My 78 year old mom and a family of 9 came back from a great day. The stairs were hard for my mom, so we stayed with us on the first floor and went up before going to sleep. It's a very spacious house for 9 people. It was spacious, but there were a lot of heaters here and there, so I stayed warm. It's a pity that we arrived late and couldn't use various facilities. Also, I was surprised that the kitchen was so spacious. Thank you so much for your kind response and guidance.

We had a great stay at Yi Hsiu’s place. The flat was perfect for 4 people and everything was well thought out making the stay very convenient and cozy. The location was also very practical within walking distance (~10 minutes walk) to the Kyoto station while being in a peaceful part of Kyoto. Really recommend this little gem in Kyoto!

Location was accessible to the bus, the subway, JR train line as well as walkable from the main hub, Kyoto Station. A bit of a walk to the subway and train, but easy if you’re used to that sort of thing. Residential area, so quiet but not much for restaurants in the immediate vicinity. We took the 207 bus into the more downtown area for dinner most nights. Very handy convenience store, though. Tei was very proactive in his communication and the home was spotless. We would stay here again, for sure!

Our stay in Kyoto was absolutely incredible, and a big part of that was thanks to Saki and her beautiful home. The house is spectacular—spotlessly clean, stylishly decorated, and perfectly located in a quiet neighborhood while still being close to public transport and great local spots. Saki was a fantastic host—kind, responsive, and thoughtful. She provided clear instructions, local recommendations, and even small touches in the house that made us feel genuinely welcomed. Waking up in such a peaceful space and returning to it after long days of exploring Kyoto was truly a gift. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we would absolutely stay here again. Thank you, Saki, for everything!

Kyoto Machiya Kyō and Shimotsuki, 550 meters from Nijo Station/About 17 minutes from Kyoto Station

This is the first time I've written a review with such care, because the Host is worth it!!The house is quiet, the area is large, the surrounding transportation is convenient, the furnishings are very Kyoto style, and the free green tea is delicious. Before check-in, the boss carefully sent us the check-in method and things to note, and the whole process was smooth.9 days in Japan, this was our favorite B&B.Due to the rush of the trip, I left my belongings in the B&B. The Host did not eat lunch and helped me contact the courier, which took several hours. I was very touched!Great value for money, highly recommended!
