Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. Our inn was apparently built in the early Showa period. We have renovated the bathroom and kitchen areas to make your stay more comfortable while still retaining the charm of the townhouse, such as the low ceilings and narrow, steep stairs. Why not try experiencing a bit of Kyoto life? Please note that we will charge a local accommodation tax (200 yen per person per night) in addition to the accommodation fee. The price is scheduled to increase from March 2026.

I wonder what I get to see if I run guest house, And foreigners see a surroundings I grew up. KAYABUKI thatched house with IRORI, HORI-KOTATSU & KAMADO-oven ...that used to be old samurai house about 250-year-old. You can get experience real local life by sharing our dairy place, having chat over dinner with us. Pick up vegetables from our farm and take fresh eggs from hens (otherwise from other egg farm) and let's cook together !
