Sarah was an amazing host. She made sure we are okay throughout our stay. Her place was in excellent condition and I do recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay. Thank you again, Sarah! You are absolutely amazing.

Good for remote work and long stay. Peaceful surroundings really help to concentrate. And for traveling in Tokyo there is quite fast access to Shinjuku. The walk to the station is around 15 min, but there is a nice option to walk along the river. The apartment itself is well equipped and clean, felt like home. Also Ken makes you feel welcomed and there is good and fast communication. Supermarket and conbini nearby are very convenient and there are a lot of shops and restaurants also near the station. Overall I definitely recommend, especially if you want to stay a bit away from cities noise and bustle in a more local and quiet environment.

We very much enjoyed the long stay. The house is quite spacious for Japan standards, everything worked, everything spotlessly clean. Yukio was a wonderful host, always available to assist. He picked us up by his car from the local train station (Tsurukawa, not Machida) well after midnight, our flight having landed with 5 hour delay. He also found us bicycles to rent. The language gap was bridged through computer translation. The area is purely residential and a bit upscale. Not much to do around, but we had explicitly wanted something like that in order to see how people really live here. Bus service is infrequent in evenings and weekends. Taxi from Tsurukawa station costs around 20 USD. Only two remarks: (1) The (main) double bed stands on very thin and shaky (homemade?) legs. We later slept in the room with the tatami mat and it was ok. Tip: Stack 2 brown mattresses on top each other and use the soft paddings. (2) Only 1 kitchen knife, rusty (but very sharp). Overall great stay!

Light and breezy holiday style homestay.Convenient and clean.It's about 18 minutes walk from the station, you can take the bus.I recommend a restaurant about 10 minutes walk away, Ozu cafe, very Delicious light western food, 1300 yen per serving including main course, salad, various snacks, with balanced nutrition, fried pork chop and chicken breast are great.The small town is quiet and relaxing, the plants are very lush, the surfers are all local residents, many people in their 50s and 60s are surfing, it's probably part of their daily life
