Villa vacation rentals in Saint James

Two retired British couples, one new to Barbados and one more used to staying in hotels around the island. We had the most amazing holiday and stay in Jasmine Villa. It is in a wonderful location and is elegantly and luxuriously furnished. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and everything we ever needed was there on hand. We prepared three quarters of our meals in the well-equipped kitchen and the others we took in restaurants on the West and South Coast. Sugar Hill Club was great for the pool and the restaurant, which we appreciated especially on the night we arrived. We also made great use of the Beach Club at the Fairmont Hotel, included with the house. We took taxis to/from the airport and rented a small car, delivered to the property, to explore many of Barbados' attractions and for shopping in nearby Holetown.

Had the most amazing stay. The location of the villa was 10/10. To wake up and hear the waves splashing was wonderful. Would highly recommend and would return. Xxx

Sugar Palm House exceeded our expectations, providing an unforgettable experience despite a broken AC in one of the bedrooms. Linda ensured our comfort by providing two high-quality fans and promptly responding to all our messages. The villa was spotless and beautifully decorated, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The large pool was a standout feature, offering the perfect spot to relax and unwind. I highly recommend this villa and will definitely consider it for future visits.

We had a fantastic time at the Sweet Spot villa. Between the easy access to the beach and private pool, there was plenty to keep everyone entertained. The community is beautiful and there was ample space for our family of 11. It was also a huge plus to have bathrooms in each bedroom when getting ready each day. Todne was very helpful in getting our questions answered. Unfortunately, internet is spotty (which caused delays in communicating in general). It would have been helpful to have had some instructions regarding the house earlier (re: how to get ‘hot’ water, work the door locks, registering etc.) but we figured it out eventually. Overall, we had a wonderful time.

Claire's house has an excellent location within a quiet, gated community. Although there is no sidewalk and locals advised against walking along the road after sunset, the house is only a 10-minute stroll from breathtaking beaches. There, you can not only swim in the crystal-clear sea but also enjoy the marine diversity of the coral reef in the area. The house features several amenities that have been well-preserved over the years, such as a spacious kitchen, living room, and bedrooms. Most importantly, its tranquility is undisturbed by neighbors. Thanks to the constant breeze, the interior remains pleasantly cool, though the addition of a few air conditioning units could further enhance comfort during the hottest days. Claire is a responsive and attentive host, promptly addressing minor issues that arose during our stay. I would recommend her home to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat and the vibrant beauty of this magical island.

WOW what a wonderful 2 weeks we have spent in this amazing place. The house is surrounded by lush greenery. We saw families of monkeys and butterflies through the garden daily. Claudia the house keeper looked after us during our stay, she couldn’t do enough for us. Andrew was always available as and when we needed and he’s banana bread is superb. Thank you all for making our stay so special 🙂

Such a beautiful Villa in a great location. Fully equipped with everything you need. Loved everything about this place. It’s a 5 mins walk to the beach and the Fairmont beach passes a real bonus too! Helen was excellent with communication (not that we needed much of it) Five stars from us! Thank you and we will be back.

Green Monkey is an lovely, spacious well-equipped apartment and it is hard to find a more excellent location . The compound is very pretty and well-kept with a lovely pool and lots of greenery. Kerry was a wonderful host, communicating with us before and during to ensure everything was going well. Mullins is just footsteps away and such a lovely beach to spend the days on. We truly had one of the best vacations ever.

The pictures do not do this place justice. The views are so beautiful and the villa is well kept. Warren was so responsive and helpful with assisting me plan details for my bestfriends bachelorette celebration. He provided lots of guidance and recommendations and assisted me with purchasing flowers and grocery items for our stay. The villa has small touches like plush robes in each of the rooms and lots of linens and towels to utilize during your stay. Ms. Jackie was so sweet and helpful and welcoming during check-in and checkout. There is lots of space/seating for entertaining if you’re with a group. We took a stroll around the corner to a local spot called Wendy’s and the neighborhood felt safe and quiet. I will definitely return again. Thank you Warren and Sherri for making our experience so memorable.

Great 7 days- no complaints. Kids enjoyed the private and communal pools. Very responsive host and property manager. So, very pleasant stay overall.

We had the best stay at Mariam’s. The house is beautiful - the photos really don’t do it justice. Mariam went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, and was so quick to communicate. The location was great - close to everything we needed whilst still feeling private and quiet. Sometimes by the pool we could hear the sounds of the neighbourhood, but we were never disturbed. We did enjoy the company of a very friendly cat, who would sometimes visit while we were by the pool. Amanda and Desmond were on hand and were brilliant. One evening the gas bottle of the BBQ ran out during cooking. However Mariam had this rectified by the time we even awoke the next morning. We’ll definitely be back - it’s a beautiful house. Beautiful villa! Spent a few days here to celebrate my girlfriend’s 28th birthday and it was everything we could’ve imagined! The view is amazing, barbados is such a lovely place. Everyone is so kind and helpful. Thank you for helping me put together a personal chef for the birthday girl! The villa was so amazing we didn’t want to leave. Can’t wait to come back!

This spacious 4 bed villa set in a beautiful location is in the perfect place to relax! Conveniently situated near the large resort swimming pool and gym. Great view over the perfectly manicured golf course with tiny birds and monkeys to watch. Hospitality was faultless and couldn't have done enough for us. Batteries recharged, just what we all needed. Annabelle's is an absolutely unique property, and we feel so privileged to have stayed there. Fraser was a wonderful host, so responsive and full of helpful recommendations and suggestions. the very few teething issues were sorted by him during our stay, with the help of Neville, the property manager. Fraser and his team went above and beyond in their efforts to make our stay as stress free as possible, arranging car hire and airport pick ups. The location is stunning. Words are not enough to express the views, the beaches and the sunsets! we have never, and will never again stay anywhere quite as spectacular. It is worth remembering that Anabelle's is a traditional Bajan house. There is no air-con, and the sea is noisy at night. You will be visited by the local bugs, so pack repellent and ear plugs if you are a light sleeper; but when you wake up in the morning and throw open the shutters- it will all be forgotten! Tamarind Villa met all of our expectations. It was clean and kept clean by a housekeeper every couple of days. The house was only a few minutes' drive to Holetown - with great stores and restaurants, and close to the beach. Our family of four enjoyed walking to the clubhouse in the evening for a swim and we had dinner and drinks on several occasions at the restaurant on-site. Not to mention there is a picture-perfect sunset view from the pool deck of the clubhouse. Tamarind Villa and the staff at One Caribbean Estates were exceptional.

We had a wonderful stay here. As a super host of my own Airbnb property, I’m a bit picky where I stay but this did not disappoint. The pool was perfect, with sufficient towels. The bedrooms were spacious and the bathrooms were clean. Air conditioners in the bedrooms worked well. The fans in the living room/common room were great and we didn’t need air conditioning as other reviews stated. Open the doors and enjoy the breeze! The house manager, Noelle was kind and helpful! So good to be able to message her if she needed recommendations. There’s an option to add on beach passes at a local beach club but we had other plans for our stay so decided not to take the option. When I head back to Barbados, I’d love to stay here again. Thank you for an amazing stay!

We arrived late at night due to a 4 hour flight delay but had no problem finding our accommodations and getting in. It's a great house. Each bedroom had it's own bathroom with shower so no waiting ever. The front porch and covering on the side of the house with seating and table was great. There's a nice selection of books and games available. The walk to the beach is literally 5 min or less, glad about that. Overall very quiet and it felt quite secure. Highly recommended.

We loved every moment of our stay at Bairds View Villa. It’s a perfect location on the west coast if you’re looking for a quieter stay, right between Speightstown and Holetown with a bus stop at the end of the road for easy travel. Thunder bay beach at the end of the road is beautiful and has great local food/drinks. We hired a car for half of our stay to help us get around the island and explore but if you’re just looking to go to Bridgetown or along the west coast a car is not a must have as the buses are frequent. Yunus was easy to contact prior to arrival and very responsive. John the villa manager was a wonderful host and so helpful, he had good recommendations prior to check in and offered to do grocery shopping for us at no extra cost which was a lovely gesture. We would recommend Bairds View to everyone and can’t wait to hopefully return one day in the future. Thanks so much for an amazing stay!

The house is absolutely beautiful & so close to Mullins beach & some fantastic restaurants & bars. The house has everything you need, it is clean, tidy & very spacious! We loved having the house pool & the main pool is great with a bar area & comfy sun beds! Marcia & Peter were both lovely & easy to contact. Great stay!

Loved my stay at Rosie’s place, exactly as described with a few special touches like the gym, and the use of washing machine. Communication was always prompt no matter the time of the day. Would highly recommend and look forward to one day coming again

Richard is a super host, he’s communication was exceptional. The space is to view for, a view of the beach and only 7 minutes drive to Sandy Lane and the shops of Holetown. Book this and treat yourself to peace and tranquility.

Amazing stay and definitely coming back !!! Fabulous location walking distance to massys was a huge plus for us !!! The property is perfect spotlessly clean and the private pool was bliss !!!! Both Richard and his local property manager (Tricia) were fabulous with nothing too much trouble. In summary we loved it and cant wait to come back. Absolute gem of a find.

Beautiful location with only 7 units in the complex- felt private and as if we were at a resort location for handful of people. Three couples travelled together and location offers lovely bedrooms and ensuites for all. The three different dining areas were great and we used them all. Plunge pool was lovely and the large pool was terrific and often unused. We used the bbq and cooked a few meals. Daily housekeeping was fabulous. Several restaurants in walking distance and main grocery store a 10minute drive south. Wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend Merlin Bay if you want a beautiful beachfront location.
