Cottage vacation rentals in Sahara Desert

Great accommodation, fabulous location and stunning views. This rural area is very quiet and with no light pollution clear night skies are just magical. Mostly the temperature this high up is lower than the coast but not always. The coast, which you can see from the terrace, is 20 minutes away by car. The house is modern and attention has been paid to the things that matter. A perfect base for us. The journey up from Arafo is steep for many kms and roads are narrow but often one-way. You do need google maps though – our rental car did not have a sat nav. We found the house in the dark and pouring rain. Juan was very helpful and responded very quickly. Without him we would have had real difficulties with replacing our car which had a puncture and no repair kit or locking nuts on board. Car rental company Record Go (via Opodo) was worse than useless. For organic fruit & veg: La Albahaca in Arafo and La Tajea in Mercado de Santa Cruz. For eggs: Juan’s hens! We will revisit. Loved it.

we really loved the house with the private swimming pool. the pool was a little bit cold, but my children were enjoying it and they warmed themselves up in the bath. my parents in law also enjoyed their stay. thnx!!!

Outstanding location with absolutely mesmerising views !! Away from the cluttered cities surrounded by vineyards I would highly recommend for those seeking a getaway in Tenerife. The places has not only views to offer , fully equipped with all sorts of amenities that one would ever wish for. Ellen is a great host very responsive and helpful. I would definitely be coming back for more !!!

We had a wonderful stay at in La Florida and would definitely recommend for a relaxing holiday away. The house and gardens were exactly as shown in the photos and a wonderful place to relax. We really enjoyed the wood burning hot tub, we purchased additional wood from the Repsol garage. The drive to the house was steep but very manageable for a confident driver. Initially we were given keys to only one of the apartments however as this had two single beds we requested the keys to the second place as this had a double bed and Susana was very accommodating in providing these.

The property is lovely and everything you need for relaxing getaway. We loved the outside area, Al fresco at its finest. Supermarket is situated at the bottom of the road, 5-10 minute walk. Puerto del La Cruz is only a 15 minute drive and playa El Bollullo is on 15 minute drive, bit of a walk down to the beach, but well worth it. also the restaurant at the top is lovely, with a great back drop. If you want a relaxing getaway away from the hussle and bussle, then this is the place for you. Wake up to beautiful views of Tiede and the sea. what more could you want. See you next time.

Elena’s place was well provisioned and a home away from home. The outside patio was spectacular with lounges, chairs, tables, hot tub, and even a ping pong table! The one challenge was the windy roads getting there. Extraordinary scenery, but keep your eye on the road! Great home base for rock climbing at Fataga and Sorrueda.

This is a fantastic place to stay. The house is immaculate.! In a beautiful setting. Very quiet and peaceful. The jacuzzi is a great added bonus!! Very highly recommended. Absolutely would go back again.!!!!! Gabriella is right there replying to any needs straight away.

The host Maria is great, always helpful, super friendly and sweet with our kids. We had a great stay in the house and enjoyed the view over the bay and the banana plantation. Maria also provided us with a whole load of freshly harvested bananas which tasted amazing. Totally recommended place.

Very friendly welcome by Aline in the beautiful house. Actually, you don't need to write much, since everything has already been written in the positive reviews. The tranquility is simply outstanding. Apart from the wind and a few birds, you can't hear anything. From the master bedroom, you can look from the bed to the sea. Also, of the 3 in total, 2 have a sea view and one has a beautiful mountain backdrop. To the beaches about 8 minutes walk. A car is still a must to explore El Cotillio with its many restaurants and shopping and other beaches in 7 minutes. Overall, it was an unforgettable beautiful vacation with very nice hosts. I'm sure we'll be back soon.

Arrival in a very nice Finca, quiet, with garden, solarium, small flowered terrace overlooking the barranco and large terrace with all the appropriate equipment for lunch or dinner Elegant house furnished with great taste. Estrella welcomed us with beautiful bouquets of fresh flowers and a basket filled with fruit and avocados. There is a large space inside the property to park your vehicle. The street is a little steep and perilous but the discovery of this property is worth it.

Alejandro’s place is even more beautiful than the pictures, the views from all terraces are simply stunning, so peaceful and quiet. The inside is tidy, has everything anyone could need and Alejandro is very easy to communicate with and is very helpful. We would highly recommend staying here. Amazing value for money.

Montse's place is FORMIDABLE! A little house with absolutely all needs covered. The kitchen and bathroom were very well equipped, perfect for a place you have to go to by plane. The place is great, very quiet and with ocean views. They have two very friendly dogs, they were a good distraction for our two kids. Excellent for family travel because there is no danger of roads nearby and there is plenty of space outside the house. The porch is great, sheltered from the wind and an excellent place to have breakfast with the family or spend some time in the evenings. In addition, Montse is a great expert in YOGA. We had the opportunity to do several sessions with her and it was a real treat. Faithfully connected with nature, in a spectacular and quiet space. Do not hesitate to have a few Yoga sessions with her, your body and mind will thank you!!! A big hug, Montse! And greetings to Ronya and Rudy!! I wish we could find each other again.

Traditional house with a lot of charm, with a beautifully decorated interior courtyard. Very spacious and with all the amenities. Host pending at all times. Our children didn't want to leave

We had a great stay at Patricia’s Villa - this was our second visit after staying in 2023. We loved the views and the extra facilities like the pool and games room. The Villa is outside of Funchal but you can be in the town in 10 mins which was great. Patricia is an excellent host who was flexible with check in / check out times to accommodate our flights schedule and was also very helpful with local information. I’m sure we will be back!

This place is just a little paradise with amazing nature all around and a beautiful view over Puerto de la Cruz and the surrounding valley. We enjoyed observing all those unique birds in the morning, while drinking our coffee on the sunny terrace. In the evenings the area usually becomes foggy and a bit colder, but there are plenty of extra blankets and the fireplace makes a very cozy and warm vibe after all. There is a private grill area for each apartment, we didn’t have the chance to try it, but in warmer weather it must be amazing. The way up is indeed steep and not too wide, but it was less difficult then we expected. Also the location is very good/ quite central within the island, isolated from the very touristic parts, but still all the different areas are in easy reach. The place was well equipped, we did laundry as well and had no problem at all. Overall we would definitely recommend this place to all those who would like to experience the peaceful nature of Tenerife!!!🌿

Came here with a group of friends from Los Angeles and I cannot tell you how beautiful the space is but also how available at all times our host was how every need was meant and help accommodating and warm this beautiful Airbnb was we will certainly be back next year, and we will certainlyhope to stay here as well

We enjoyed our wonderful holiday in Guzman's home. What a nice place to relax and enjoy the special nature in Fuerteventura. Guzman welcomed us with delicious cheese and wine and we were allowed to use the products from his beautiful vegetable garden. We had a wonderful time and we'd love to come back again.

The accommodation is very well maintained with a great view, the location is very good near the Tende volcano and other sites, the beach is ten minutes from the house located in San Juan. We had a great week, very sunny with beautiful landscapes, very beautiful island

Carlos and Cynthia are incredibly kind and welcoming—it truly feels like home. The chickens roaming freely around the garden add such a charming touch, and the view is absolutely stunning. They even lent us warm clothes for our hike up El Teide, which was so helpful and thoughtful. Highly recommend!
