Barn vacation rentals in Saco River

We rented The Cape for my husband and I, plus our adult children and their families. This is a very home-like rental, surrounded by beautiful grounds and right on the river. It was exactly what we expected for an 1880’s east-coast home; it reminded me of my grandmother’s property. Melissa is a very enthusiastic and caring host. This is the perfect rental if you are looking for a charming old home with lots of character, privacy, nature, and active outdoor options.

Bethany is warm and friendly! This is a wonderful place to stay and close to all you’d to do in and near Lyndonville! This place is in the top 3 places have stayed while visiting.

We enjoyed our stay, lots to do with in a few miles. There are some games to play while we enjoyed a fire. We had a projector so we enjoyed a movie later on upstairs in the loft. Thank you for the relaxing time.

Can’t say enough about how great our stay was! Andrew was incredibly responsive, let us check in early and check out late without even asking. It was a great location on the island, very walkable, even for my mother with a bad knee (she was exhausted after the first day though). Would absolutely stay again!! 10/10

This is a great place to stay if you want a slice of life in the picturesque village of South Freeport, Maine. It's a very private location, and convenient for taking walks down to the water and around the village. The Airbnb itself is comfortable, quiet, and well appointed.

Amazing rustic spot no far from attractions in Woodstock on Mirror Lake. Very cozy and comfortable, with many amenities. Definitely will be back!

Charming, cozy and comfortable rental. This cheerful, spotless apt was the perfect location for us to enjoy Bowdoin and Brunswick and had all the amenities we needed. Nina and Tony are the consummate hosts - welcoming and highly responsive. Without hesitation, I would stay here again.

Cold Comfort Farm offers a wonderful setting and view for anyone who wants a true New Hampshire experience. It reminded me of my youth growing up nearby. Jo was completely welcoming.

This Airbnb was impeccably clean…as it was also the year prior when we found it. Lindsay is a very good communicator…and her property is great. Under 10 minute walk on a slight down hill grade to the beach and amusement park. Very nice and fairly private backyard…great for bbq’ing and beverages around the fire pit! Kitchen is well appointed…and everything on property worked as expected. Pretty sure after two spring stays here… This is going to be an annual family event staying at this location.

We had a perfect weekend at Amanda & Alicia’s place! The space is absolutely beautiful (it really does look just like the photos), super cozy (lots of extra pillows and blankets and a comfortable couch and bed), and we were even greeted with some treats left for our arrival! We do a lot of cooking when we travel, and the kitchen was great for that - plus we had breakfast every morning on the back porch enjoying a lovely view of the woods. I would absolutely recommend this stay!

We had a great stay here for the Revel Marathon weekend. It was walking distance from the finish and from lots of neat places. Very close drive to anything you need! We were not able to use the kayaks /water due to being rained out unfortunately. There was a field that was flooded between us and the water - so we didn’t venture out. You can’t really see the water from the property - just an FYI. I think the property itself was nicer than the pictures actually and has everything you need! The downstairs remained cold and the upstairs was hot- but not uncomfortable- just an observation. We would definitely recommend this property and hope to return in the future!

The stay at Victorias barn was amazing. It is VERY private, clean, organized and well stocked. Loved how we got to play volleyball and carve our pumpkins on the deck/yard during the day and get comfortable and cozy at night. Victoria was very attentive, responsive and accommodating at all times. Can’t wait to come back next year.

Very cozy, exactly as described, quiet neighborhood, slept well, all the usual amenities, walking distance to good restaurants. Our host was friendly and easy to work with.

Lovely space and surroundings! Peaceful retreat! Kind, helpful and responsive hosts! Easy to stay comfortably, amenities well considered, clean and tidy space. Front door lock was a little fritzy, but armed with host's tips it always worked in a minute or two. Back deck was AWESOME. Cool old school pin ball machine in the living room and in good working order! Be prepared to be asked to remove all trash / recycling at the conclusion of your stay. Absolute pleasure, would definitely consider returning!! Thanks Rob and Patty!

Chris and Phil are wonderful hosts. Communication is always excellent. We have enjoyed Windy Ridge so much we have been 4 times :). And booking number 5!! Go enjoy the beauty!! Chris provides every thing you will need. Highly recommend this little cozy spot with amazing views!!

Lovely, comfortable stay with thoughtful decor and hospitality. Close enough to Portland and outdoor adventures while feeling quiet, peaceful and away from it all.

Can’t say enough good things about Michelle and Justin’s listing! The property itself is beautiful and the apartment is super cozy overlooking the farm. The animals are sweet and friendly, especially the dogs and chickens!! There are quaint walking trails around the property that are a big added bonus. Michelle and Justin were amazing hosts. We had a great catching up with them and learning about farm life. They had a unique bond with all their animals, having names for all 71 chickens. It was clear to us that they are intentional in all that they do. Truly special people and a special bnb.

Great place, lots of room and everything someone would need to cook, bbq and sleep

My husband and I had a wonderful stay. The space was so charming. We loved all of the decor, and cooking was a breeze with so many spices and oils available. So many unique and thoughtful elements. We especially loved the outdoor shower hut. The hosts were super nice and extremely flexible with check in and check out, which we appreciated so so much. We would definitely stay again if given the opportunity. Highly recommend :)

My family's stay at the Barn was wonderful. The Barn is stocked with everything you need. The place is nicely decorated and felt so cozy for a weekend getaway. The property is also very beautiful and peaceful. My boys loved sledding on the back hill and our furry friend really enjoyed his time too. Thank you again and highly recommend~!

Sandra's AirBnB at the Ice House Creamery is a wonderful stay. The decor is a rustic millenial grey with a Squam Lake vibe. Plenty of space. Easy entry and exit to get to Holderness, Ashland, Meredith, Weirs Beach, Laconia etc. Hiking trails are around the corner (go to the Rattlesnake hike but bring plenty of bug spray.). The Science Center is really excellent as well. Kudos to Sandra for responding to a major flooding issue within minutes (a heavy downpour caused flooding in the master bedroom) and was rectified quickly. We visited just as the Creamery opened which has excellent options. A couple notes for visitors: 1) Cell Service is not existent in many areas but the WiFi is solid at the AirBnB. 2) If the Creamery is open, you will experience visitors in and out of shop which is directly connected so don't expect full privacy. There are neighbors upstairs as well and the private beach across the street is "private"~ish but there was an aggressive dog off-leash. Would recommend.

This is my second time staying here. Brian was an incredible host and super responsive. He also provided recommendations and made the stay so enjoyable and easy! The apartment is as pictured and as described. Highly recommend.
