Integrated into the Villas, it provides access to shared common areas — a swimming pool overlooking the valley, a terrace with a fire pit, a game room (snooker, foosball, table tennis), and an indoor Jacuzzi (in the centuries-old wine presses) and an outdoor Jacuzzi. All around is the best of the Douro: wine, grape harvests, and viewpoints.

My studio flat is situated in the centre of the village of Provesende, Upper Corgo, in the Douro Valley. Which is one of the oldest demarcated and regulated wine regions in the world, Protected Designation of Origin: Port or Porto. (Portuguese fortified wine produced with distilled grape spirits, exclusively in the Douro Valley). It's also a World Heritage Site, for being the landscape most transformed by hand, by man: the socalcos (narrow and irregular terraces, where the vineyards grow).

The studio with the four-meter-high ceiling is located in the traditional and protected wine village of Provesende in the heart of the Douro Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is part of the large authentic house with walls one meter thick. It has its own entrance and a terrace in the garden. In the house are three studios with their own entrance and two rooms. The garden and swimming pool are for common use.
