Best bakery in Edmonton and it's at the end of our block. Boulangerie Bonjour breads are made using centuries old European bread making traditions. BONJOUR specializes in ‘pain au levain’ (French for sourdough) which is made using wild yeast culture (levain). Pain au levain’ has a unique appearance, flavour and aroma that is distinctive and irresistible. Not a sit down bakery.

A lovely 25 minute walk from us through the Mill Creek nature ravine to four glass pyramids just out from the river valley, called the Muttart Conservatory. The cafe is open for lunch with soups, salads, sandwiches, fresh-baked goods, and daily specials along with great espresso, craft beer and eclectic wines by the glass. The “award winning” Weekend Brunch features classics like eggs benny, breakfast burrito and classic French toast. The Café also purveys in-house made sauces, salad dressings, pickles and the ‘Jam Lady’ preserves.

Getting Around

We have used Budget many times and found their prices the best and the service is good. Ask my husband Edwin if he is around, he knows all the deals in town!

Sightseeing

This is a lovely walk from our home through the Mill Creek ravine. This is an indoor botanical garden, with three biomes as part of the Conservatory’s year-round displays. A fourth pyramid houses creative feature displays, changing up to eight times a year. There is also an art exhibition and a gift store and the wonderful Culina restaurant.
