A modern restaurant and bar by Gingerman Restaurant Group’s Ben and Pamela McKellar. Located in the heart of the famous Brighton Lanes, The Flint House offers counter-level dining, small plates with beautiful wines by the glass, a glamorous first-floor cocktail bar and rooftop terrace. ‘this new place in Brighton is spot on…it’s about solid dishes that don’t sacrifice substance for looks.’

Head chef and owner, Mark Wadsworth captures nature in all its glory. Using an ancient style of cooking over wood, Mark’s passion for honouring wild food, the seasons and ethical farming whilst exposing all ingredients to fire is what has brought Due South back to life. With the same ethos from 10 years ago, Due South is still dedicated to supporting local businesses as well as bringing you the most ethically sourced produce. Focusing on using every aspect of ingredients, from nose to tail and root to stalk, it is an essential part of our identity. The food is excellent, small portions, definitely for a special occasion very expensive.

I often cycle along the prom to the marina then pick up the under cliff down here to Rottingdean and stop for coffee a Mollys on the beach. Lovely cycle along the coast approximately 10-12 miles one way. But as you can see by the name often walked by many. (Rottingdean a lovely, small, quirky, old little sea side village.)

Definitely one for the kids….. This old 1930’s lido has recently been refurbished, I took my kids regularly when they were younger (to the old version) about a 10-15 min drive depending on traffic.
