You need to drive to this one, but if you have a car and you want to do something different, this is unique. It's man-made white-water rafting! There is also kayaking available on the river, a ropes course, obstacle course, ziplining, wall-climbing, trails for hiking or biking, food, concerts, and more.

You need to drive to this one, but if you have a car and you want to do something different, this is unique. It's man-made white-water rafting! This is pretty famous in Charlotte and has been around for decades. It is carry-out and cash only. You must like everything fried. It's not my personal favorite, but everyone else loves the fried chicken (I prefer the fried chicken at the Midnight Diner, which I also recommended).

Parks & Nature

If you want a short, but pretty hike, you can go to Freedom Park and walk around the large pond. It also connects to the greenway, so you can walk as little or as much as you want. It is about 3 miles away, so you probably want to drive, unless you want a lot of exercise!
