Food Scene
it's a parrilla, my favorite one! They serve mostly meat (bbq = asado style) and it's delicious and very cheap comparing to anything in Palermo. They also have chicken and fish and I'm also almost sure they have vegetarian dishes. It's all typically Argentinian (except for the waiters who are Colombian haha and really nice) and really, really delicious. They don't take credit cards, and it gets busy so it's better if you go early (8:30-9pm should be fine).

For a med student like me they are a great saver to grab some empanadas when I have no energy for cooking. They have good breakfast although, and it's typically Argentinian.

you cannot leave Buenos Aires without tasting our pizzas. We love them and are really proud of them, even though Italians say they took the worse pizzaiolos in Italy and sent them to us and that's why our pizzas are so different. But that's just jealousy because our pizzas are the best in the world and Italians can't accept that the student surpassed the master. It happens. My favorite one is napolitana or fugazzetta. They have great empanadas as well. It's not close but it's the best pizzeria in the city!

Another pizzeria very famous is Guerrín, it's really close to theatres and it's typical here that we go to the theater and after you eat some great pizza at Guerrín. They accept credit cards.

this is a place just so typically Argentinian to me. It's not very sophisticated but I love to grab a book and go read there in the afternoon. The whole barrio, Almagro, is great for walking. You can follow the bicisendas (ways for bicycles) and just get lost, but don't go above Sarmiento by night just in case. All the rest is fine and really typical and beautiful. I hope I'll be able to move to this neighborhood one day, I like that it is so underground.

Nucha used to be a chef that had a tv show, the was very famous. She did these amazing cakes and sweet stuff. I highly recommend this place, it's really good.

El universal is really close to the apt and they play live music on Tuesdays and Wednesdays around 9pm. It's really nice because it doesn't get that crowded, although I recommend you go early so you make sure you get seats.

Patagonia has my favorite beer in Argentina - the Weiss beer - and it's so close from here! When they opened this bar I got really happy, plus it's outdoors :) I love it in the summer

I love to go there, I'm almost sure all of the actors are blind and you can meet them and talk to them at the end of the obra. Recently I went to "a ciegas gourmet", I thought it was a little expensive but worth it, really funny.
