Food Scene

For amazing authentic Chinese food, they surprisingly also have great Belgian beer on tap. Dim sum is served on weekends.

I love getting the Saucy Asian Bowl on my way home from work or after a workout class. It's great for takeout because we live so close. The dine in space is rather small and not particularly cozy.

Very hip with a small sunny front patio. Get your coffee and sit to chit chat or read a book. They do get a bit crowded and noisy at all times. If you're looking for a place that's buzzing with energy this is the spot for you!

I love their pastries. Hearth is a mellow coffee shop by San Francisco standards. I love coming here on a rainy day to read.

Entertainment & Activities

I go to yoga at Yoga Tree Castro at least once a week. It's a beautiful spacious studios and the instructors are really great. Weekend mornings at 9am and 11am and weekday evenings at 6:15pm are the busiest times.

Check out the event calendar for the Castro Theater! They often host family friendly sing-a-long nights to popular films such as all the Disney films.

Shopping

You could call Cliff's a hardware store but I think of it as my Room of Requirement (from Harry Potter). Find whatever you need for a crafts or hardware project or that special kitchen gadget for your latest experiment or perhaps buy a gift for a friend.
