Food Scene

It is a cozy atmosphere with friendly staff! I have even baked and sold pies to this locally owned family business. The owners are precious people and friends of mine! It has a lovely view of Pike's Peak and you can walk the main strip of Woodland Park from here. They have yummy breakfast burritos and a few interesting and tasty sandwiches, as well as the BEST tasting coffee (roasted in house).

On your way to the beautiful Eleven Mile State Park, be sure to stop by this unique cafe for a cup of delicious coffee, hot tea from a beautiful tea pot, or hot chocolate! Amazing huge cinnamon rolls, the BEST quiche I have ever tasted (Ham and Bacon is my fave), and cakes like carrot cake, scones, hand-made chocolates and more! A real gem in a tiny town! Oh, and it is only a hop away from the local library (which is CLOSED on Sundays and Tuesdays).

Drinks & Nightlife

Although this place has a little bar on one side, we go here frequently for the FOOD. It is our favorite eating place in our tiny town of Divide, CO. My favorite is the Chicken Philly Cheesesteak, and my hubby loves the hot wings. Known for the unique burgers they create, such as the JIFFY Burger (it has peanut butter on it!) Great beer selection here, there is also wine, margaritas, and more!

This local brewery has a family-friendly atmosphere, and dining and beer tasting inside and outside. The outside area has tables and games (I think horseshoes). The beer is called "sour ale" and is really unique. I recommend "High Biscus". You can order meat and cheese trays, and there are a few other items on their menu but when I last went, it was not extensive. It is a casual and relaxed atmosphere. Be sure to bring a sweater if you want to sit outside. Info on hours: Tasting Room Winter Hours Thursday - Sunday: 11am-9pm CLOSED Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

This Wine Tasting Bar/Restaurant features a tasty menu and a quaint gift shop. During the summer, there is seating out over the creek. A great place to enjoy some romance, or take your family out for a good meal! You might want to call ahead and see if they are busy, the space is somewhat limited. You could even stop here after your visit to Cave of the Winds, which is only slightly further East on Hwy 24 (towards Colorado Springs).

This is a larger grocery store, and my favorite in town because of the friendly service you experience there. There is also a pharmacy here, and in the square there are restaurants, dry cleaning, and this is right across the street from the movie theater.

This was one of the fun things we did when we first visited this area. There is an amazing porch overlooking the canyon, and a gift shop where you can pick up a sweater or shirt that says "Colorado" and lots of other neat gifts! There are cave tours, the "Terrordactyl" ride that drops you into the canyon (yikes) and more! There are plenty of places to eat near here: Manitou Springs has great shopping and food (pay for parking) and Old Colorado City is nearby...also a fun place to walk around, shop and eat! Colorado Springs is just a little further East. So much to do in this area!

Everything Else

Enjoy horseback riding, small group trail rides for 1 or 2, kayaking, fishing, this beautiful ranch backs up to the National Fossil Beds and is a lovely place to spend an afternoon. I may have a few tips on a back entrance into the Fossil Beds from this property...where you will walk through 2 Aspens groves and see some of the most beautiful giant rocks towering above you ; ) There also may be times where the Ranch dining room is open for you to purchase a meal! Ask if this is something that interests you. (I know people lol) This Ranch also has weekly church services, meeting areas, camps, and more! It serves as a venue for ranch weddings and events as well.
