Just along the road outside the building! Crisp Salad Works, probably one of the few salad joints in Tokyo, is really good. Everything ends up as a chopped salad that's easy to eat with a spoon. Could use some bread and few other veggies. Great spot for healthy eating.

Wanna try some Ramen? This is a completely different style of dining experience compared to western culture and it is definitely worth the experience. The ramen itself is tasty. Prices are reasonable and the service is quick - worth a stop in Azabu-juban. Address: 1-2-5 Azabu-juban Minato-ku (麻布十番1-2-5 富山店舗 1F Minato, 東京都 〒106-0045)

Azabu-Juban is a melting pot of locals and ex-pats. It’s close to Roppongi and Roppongi Hills. If you are in the area, you’ll want to visit a small but special Italian restaurant. They are open for lunch and dinner. The quality and service are great. As many restaurants offer lunch time “deals”, this one is no exception. You choose a main course and then can chose a drink, an appetizer, a salad, etc. It’s a fixed price depending on how many things you order. The quality of the food was very good and in the summer, the windows are open to the street. It has 2 floors so you can do people watching from multiple levels.

A really good French style bakery providing daily fresh bread and cakes. This is indeed, a go-to grab. There are two ooyaki choices, the pickled turnip and greens version (157 yen) or an easy-to-scarf-down smoked chicken and cheese, punctuated with black sesame seeds (231 yen). Reach for an onion cheese bullet (189 yen), a baked potato and mustard bread (220 yen), or a Camembert walnut bun (189 yen).

Sarashina Horii Souhonkei was established in 1789 (The year of the French revolution). It does have a lot of history. It was popular amongst the people of Edo for its elegant taste, and it was also allowed entry to the Edo castle and Feudal lord residences. The shop had a calm atmosphere and since it was lunch time, it was packed with customers. The energetic voice of the hostess and can feel the downtown atmosphere. I was first overwhelmed with the power of the hostess but she was a very warm women.

Drinks & Nightlife

Le Bar à Vin 52 has many seating areas: a counter dining, an area for larger parties and a small cluster of tables for two, offering a great place for conversation or a romantic night out. This wine bar is located up a flight of stairs above the local Seijo Ishii gourmet food outpost. The popular Seijo Ishii stores are stocked with high-end groceries and takeaway foods. The chain is also the landlord for Le Bar à Vin 52 and stocks its wine. All the bottles of wine in the bar are marked up 2,000 yen (about $17) above the retail price downstairs. Customers who want a special, pricey wine are encouraged to visit the store to buy their own wine and bring it up to the bar, for the same 2,000 yen.

This Azabu-Juban craft beer and wine establishment is probably less well known than some of its competition, but that's certainly not due to inferior quality. The first floor is dedicated to beer (with 13 varieties available, including Fujizakura Kogen's Weizen), while the basement floor features a full-fledged wine bar. As for the ¥500 otsumami food menu, try the garlic fries with mayo – perfect match with a pint

Gen Yamamoto is a seasoned bartender who, after spending several years in New York, has started his own cocktail bar here in Tokyo. The chic, low-key bar is tucked away on a side street in Azabu Juban and snugly seats eight people. The walls are painted with muted tones and the ambiance is quiet. A sprawling recovered oak wood bar, behind which Gen stands, takes center stage. You can choose from a four- (¥4,300) or six-cocktail (¥6,000) tasting menu, and then simply sit back and watch Gen create (à la carte cocktails are also available).

When you stand in front of Azabujuban Station exit No. 4 with your back to Ichinohashi bridge, Azabujuban Street is on your right and Patio Street is on your left. This is the Azabujuban Shopping District, retaining the traditions of the Edo era, yet having an international atmosphere. The neighborhood which has inherited 300-year-old traditions from the Edo era and embraced foreign cultures at various points in its history has both a friendly downtown atmosphere and an international flavor that comes from the many foreigners who shop here every day.
