This is a really unusual bakery. Everything is made on sight and fresh and delicious. One great feature is the crew table where you can have a home to home breakfast with homemade bread and jams. They also offer fresh soup, pizza etc. The staff are sometimes a little grumpy which is annoying but worth it for the fresh food.

You can walk to this cafe from the house in approximately 30 - 40 minutes, through the town, past the Royal Yacht Squadron and along the front by the sea. It is an easy walk on flat terrain and takes you past the pebbly beach which is a good stop for children. Super cafe with salads, seafood, sandwiches etc.

It is an easy walk on flat terrain and takes you past the pebbly beach which is a good stop for children. Super cafe with salads, seafood, sandwiches etc.
We really love this restaurant. It is quite expensive but the food is of a very high standard and it is located in Gurnard with a direct outlook over the Solent. I would particularly recommend timing your visit with the sunset. It is too far to walk and probably 10 minutes in the car. Probably not somewhere I would suggest for children.

This is a really lovely shop that I seem to find myself in everytime I visit Cowes. It is full of unusual and tasteful gifts, jewellery, cards, china and some clothes. Their sister shop across the road sells great clothes and things for children and around the corner is their very well stocked and modern kitchen shop.
