Chingaza Natural National Park
Close (1-2 hrs) from Bogota. Huge, spectacular.
Beautiful park. About 20-30 minutes after you get out of the city. But getting out of the city is the challenge.
The walk is down, down, down. A lodge at the bottom, a waterfall a bit further and you can get a ride out cheaply if you don't want to walk out.

From downtown you go straight up above the treeline and you're there in 20 minutes. A paramo with unique plants and spectacular views if you are there when it isn't raining. Can be cool and rainy.
If it is fairly cloudless take an hour to go further towards Choachi and the view way down in the valley from above is unlike anything you are likely to have seen before.
