Food Scene

Puglia has a lunch special 7 days a week between 11:30-3pm unless it's a holiday in LIttle Italy or summer. This special can't be beat for price or quality. This is my favorite Italian-American restaurant. Be sure to order a bottle of the house red. They make the blend themselves and currently it's only $16 per bottle.
This is a casual Mexican place that is good for some quick fresh tacos. It's part of a small chain of Oaxaca locations around NYC. Nice tile walls, convenient and fresh food.

Excellent mexican in a beautifully designed space with a backyard strung with lights. Walking distance from my house but also on the Halsey street bus making it incredibly convenient.

This was the first really cool restaurant in the neighborhood. It still has a tremendous style to to and a good backyard. Brick oven pizza and Italian specialities.

This place is incredibly close to our house. Lively (and a little loud) it plays all the soccer matches and the food is good. The happy hour specials include really good food price deals.

This is a combination office complex, shopping mall and mini food district. It's in a renovated factory and has a working chocolate mini factory in it where you can buy chocolate, great coffee, art exhibits, bars and restaurants. People rave about the Japanese store with food and a food court inside (I haven't been to it yet but know the rest of the place).
