Aldi is aldi, not much to add. Try the vajas kifli at the bakery section. It's the best bakery deal in the whole world. Once you taste it for 79 HUF (0.25 euro) you will never long for a fancy croissant :)

Probably the most beautiful park in Budapest. Home of the American embassy, 2 controversial monuments and a life sized sculpture of Ronald Reagan. In the old stock exchange palace there is a decent bao place called Baotiful.

Nice playground, with the listings of all the Hungarian Olympic Champions. Be prepared it's a long list compared to the size of the country!

The shoes on the Danube. It'a a memorial for the Jews who were killed by fascist Arrow Cross militiamen in Budapest during World War II. They were ordered to take off their shoes, and were shot at the edge of the water so that their bodies fell into the river and were carried away. It represents their shoes left behind on the bank.
