it is the most iconic place of Italy, take your time to visit, it is full of things to do, one day is not enough, i suggest at least 2 days, historic buildings, museum, a tour with the iconic boat LA GONDOLA, a tour with VAPORETTO, the CAMPANILE DI SAN MARCO, the DOGE CASTEL, so many thing that cannot be listed here, i suggest you to browse the internet to prepare your tour of Venice with activities to do
