Sabino Canyon is a local must-see place. Excellent hiking trails. They have a visitor center and you can hop on the small tour bus (for a fee) that will take you to the end of the main canyon trail. Then you can take your time walking down the canyon and if you feel tired you can hop on the tour bus on your way down, along one of the 9 stops. On the bus they also share information about the canyon and its wildlife. For more experienced hikers, I would recommend the Seven Falls trail.
