Els Vanbiervliet startte haar open en eerlijke keuken in 2013 met de missie om mensen rond koken en eten bij mekaar te brengen rond de grote centrale tafel. Bistro Belle de Jour is samen culinair genieten om zo elkaars ziel te voeden en hart te masseren. Er is geen vaste kaart. Alle gerechten staan op een krijtbord en elke dag wordt het menu aangepast met seizoengebonden en dagverse producten.

Mu.ZEE is the art museum by the sea for Belgian art, with complete openness and accessibility. Mu.ZEE creates an active space for the public and artists where art can be approached in a relaxed, free and creative way. Mu.ZEE houses a valuable collection of art originating from the joint efforts of the Province of West Flanders and the City of Ostend. It tells its stories through a unique collection of Belgian art dating from 1830 to the present day. The specific form of the collection makes it unique within the Flemish museum landscape. The collection policy and the exhibition programme aim to ensure that Mu.ZEE is constantly in dialogue with the international art scene.

Visit James Ensor House Do not fear. To truly understand the master, you must visit his house at least once. The displaying cupboards full of crazy, bizarre, bewildering objects will bring you into the atmosphere of his work, breathing in the air on the piano nobile will do the rest. The Ensor House is closed since November 5th, 2017. Reopening will be in the summer or autumn of 2018, after finishing the constructions of the Ensor visitor centre.

Met Oostende als uitvalsbasis heeft deze in 2009 opgerichte zaak ondertussen vaste voet in Europa en ver daarbuiten. Passion 4 wood is te vinden in het zelfde complex als het appartement.
