They are small, quick, comfortable enough and the price is reasonable. Ask them about the price before you get in to avoid arguments later.

Cars don't leave until full when travelling
If you travel outside Freetown, cars don't leave until they are full so unless you are willing to pay for the remaining seats, there is no need to rush there. Also, baggage you put in the trunk has to be paid for separately
Customs and culture
No pictures of the State House
It is quite close to the Cotton Tree, it is not allowed to take pictures of it. If you do, you will be questioned.
