Here is the place to take the cable car to the sugar loaf. The view is beautiful, and the way up is very pleasant. A must see if you come to Rio. Taxi is the best way to go. Bus 511 (BRS2) also works.

Drummond was a great brazilian poet and writer. A statue from him in natural size can be seen at a bench by Copacabana beach, the same bench were he used to seat to watch the end of the afternoon sun.
