The Hualapais are a great place to go for refuge from the heat. They have several hiking trails and there’s even a lodge where you can grab a meal. It is a beautiful area to just drive around as well. It is also stunning in the winter and they frequently get snow!

Arizona hot springs is a hike that is about an hour north of Kingman heading towards Vegas. It has beautiful scenery, natural hot springs, and the Colorado River at the end. This is a must do if you are visiting during the cooler season!

When it is summer time in Kingman I spend most of my weekends at the river. I usually go to Bullhead City, AZ. The Bullhead City Community Park is free and is about 45 minutes from Kingman.

Black Bridge is the type of bar that you go to when you want to catch up with a friend, or just hang out around town. It has a very laid back vibe, and some pretty good beers. If I’m going out on a weekend, this is usually where I would go.

Things to do
Our local farmers market has really stepped up from what it used to be. I’ve gotten delicious breads, baked goods, produce, and plants from here. Not quite the same as a big metro city but definitely worth checking out if you have an hour or so to spare on the weekend!
