Fascinating history! You can spend an entire day there. Tour the house and learn about the rich history of the Biltmore. Visit the Botanical Gardens, especially the green house. Hike around the lake and make sure to check out the views outside the home.
Don't forget to stop into the shops and restaurants. It's a quick bus ride away from the main house. We enjoy Cedrick's which is named after the family dog. You can book a complimentary wine tasting but it books up fast so make sure to stop by early in your visit. Close by is the farm as well. I like to go see the old farm equipment and visit the horses.
If you bring bikes, you can ride around the property. You can rent them as well. There is hiking, carriage rides, fishing, a spa, etc.

Solid hike off the Blue Ridge Parkway. about 4 miles round-trip. Not too hard but is a steady climb uphill. Cool history at the lodges.
