my fav restaurant, they are vegan/vegetarian but not in a fastfood way, very special menu which they change saisonal, the garden is so super cute and quiet in the summer and in the winter very authentic inside, for this one I would recommend a reserving a table, because it can be super busy at some times

as a craft beer lover I like to spend a little bit more on special beers, if you're like me, this is the place for you. ammutson got 12 beers on tap which they change daily to weekly! so even for me there's always some new beers to try out. they got a lovely place outside in a pedestrian street and I know the owner personally so if you end up there, tell him nadja said "hi"! :) plus boardgames, wines, gins and whiskeys, good music and a wonderful rustic ambiente

Honestly I wouldn't want to live in another neighourhood, I don't know any street which is better located, you got the most public transport connections, shopping possibilities, the wonderful Naschmarkt right around the corner and fully locals living there, the most street art, many parks and green options (water Sations, city bikes, car free streets, and so on...) for me, this is Vienna to the fullest, with the youngest, most modern people around

Hofer is the cheapest supermarket
Even tho you'll find a lot of supermarkets close, I always go to hofer (on top of the street) because it's the cheapest discounter

Tap water is the best
save money, plastic, time and enjoy viennese quality water from the tab, it's better, tastier and fresher than any water you'll find in a supermarket, Austrians are very proud of their water and you can drink from the tap anywhere (except it's written out especially that it's not drinking water or in German: "KEIN TRINKWASSER")
Getting around
Public Transport goes everywhere
Even though I got a driver license I'd recommend going everything by public transport, this apartment got the most connections literally and it's cheaper than for example London's metro.
tip: if you can decide, use the newer metros and trams (bims) because the old ones usually don't have a climate
tip2: be careful in nighttime, usually busses and metros stop driving at 1-2am around working days, then you have to use nightlines instead, on the weekends, metros drive all night, just not as often
