Le Causse Restaurant in Blandas has a fabulous menu for great prices. The entertaining and hospitable owner is fluent in English having worked in London for 12 years prior. Great atmosphere and food!

Le Caylar is a village just off of the motorway and has a large petrol station and supermarket called SPAR that has all the essentials. There is also a bar, pizzeria and ancient sights to be found.

Alzon is a small village with hotel bar and small shop selling some essentials and fresh bread, it is a 15 minute drive from Vissec.

Kayaking and canoeing at great prices and stunning views from the river. Choices of how far to go along the river, I suggest taking a picnic lunch and taking your time to stop off to sunbath and swim.

Famous location for rock climbing (I haven't done it myself as I am petrified of heights) however previous tenants have stayed in the house solely to climb in this area and enjoyed it thoroughly!

Safe swimming lake about an hours drive away, famous for its red clay sand and warm waters. A beautiful drive and opportunity to see a change in geographical scenery.
