Tenerife's Beaches

Weather in Tenerife is warm during all the year, and it makes perfect for swim and taking sun at beach. Below you'll find the most beautiful and famous beaches of the Island. Be aware that often during winter time (October-April) strong north swells hit Canary Islands. So expecially the beaches in the north coast could be very dangerous due of strong current and waves. Also tide make an important role regarding the size of the beaches, that's why it's always better go to the beach with the low tide.
Probably the most famous and popular Beach of the Island, although is and artificial beach It's nice to spend time there, in addition there are many places to eat or drink on the beach.

Stunning black sandy beach. Probably the biggest beach in the north aerea. The access is difficult and dangerous, but they are building new stairs that should be available very soon. I recommend going during summer time (June to September) and with low tide. During winter could be a very dangerous place because of strong waves and current.

Masca is one of the most beautiful place of the island. View are gorgeous. From the town to the beach it's around two hours of walking, it's hard but it's worth. Usually people get to the beach by foot and take the boat for the way back. Just make sure to book before leaving Masca.
