Visit the national park in Cahuita. You can follow the 8 km trail along the beach and on the way see a lots of anilmals like howler monkeys, whitfaced monkeys, sloths or different kind of snakes, caymans, iguanas or birds.. You can also enjoy the beautiful sandy white beach in the park

Getting Around
The best way if you dont travel by car is to move around with the local bus. You can take the bus for example to Puerto Viejo which takes 30 minutes. This is an area with a lots of good resaturants, shops and nightlife.

What is also very nice if you like biking is hire a bike for the day in Puerto Viejo and follow the coastroad to Manzanillo and back again. Its a lovely daytrip and without to much traffic, one of my favourites!! You can stop along the road for a bath at beautiful Cocles or Punta Uva on the way.

What is also very nice if you like biking is hire a bike for the day in Puerto Viejo and follow the coastroad to Manzanillo and back again. Its a lovely daytrip and without to much traffic, one of my favourites!! You can stop along the road for a bath at beautiful Cocles or Punta Uva on the way.

This place at Cocles is also worth a visit if you are interested in animals. This is a rescuecenter were you walk around with a guide that shows you the animals and tell you about them and the rescuecenter which works with volunteers from all over the world.

This is one of my favourite cafés run by a very nice couple and with a lots of choices if you are vegan or vegetarian. Try their Nutella pancake or their vegan banana pancake for breakfast, just amazing.
