What to pack
Colorado Outdoors
Colorado weather can change rapidly. Be prepared when heading out. We always recommend dressing in layers. Good solid shoes are a bonus as well, we are home to cacti, scorpions and snakes. Stay hydrated and aware of your surroundings.

Kids love Colorado & we love kids.
Check out the Dinosaur Experience, Colorado Jeep Tours, Raft Masters, Boomerang Horseback Rides and the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park's Kids playland. There is a splash pad at Centennial Park, Skateboarding at Mountain View Park, tons of playgrounds, hiking trails, biking trails and even safe areas to splash in the river. Get out and have fun!

"We need the moisture"
We are located in a high plain desert. Our monsoon "season" brings heavy rains, but is short lived. Pay attention to Flash Flood Warnings they are real and can be dangerous. Regardless, we love it when it rains around here. The misty mountains are beautiful, the temperatures are cooler, natural waterfalls appear and the wildlife enjoys the cooler temperatures as well.
