Be sure to visit Antietam National Park to learn about the deadlliest Civil War battle fought just a few miles from Shepherdstown. There are miles of trails to walk , or a driving tour if you prefer. Hike and bike the C&O Canal Towpath just across the Potomac. Before comeing back home for the evening, stop by Nutter's Ice Cream for a yummy treat.
