Traveler advice

Customs and culture

Serbian manners

It is considered polite to shake hands when you meet someone. It is usual to take off your shoes when you enter someone’s house. Serbian people will almost always ask you to have a cup of coffee, a glass of juice or rakija when you happen to be in their house.
Getting around

Taxi rather than city bus

My advice is to take a taxi to get around the city, as the prices are not high. I almost never take a bus, however there is a bus stop across the street.
Don't miss

Food and drinks

Don’t miss to try rakija, ajvar, sarma, cufta, Serbian BBQ
