Local Color is a charming art gallery owned by a local artist native to Chatham. It is a short 10 minute walk from the cottage, and features art from talented Cape Cod artists ranging in mediums from ceramics to paintings to fine-art photography, as well as an expertly curated vintage and found objects selection. In the summers, the gallery also hosts the Chatham Farmers' Market every Tuesday afternoon. This is a delight and can't-miss on your stay in Chatham!

A 15 minute walk or 3 minute drive from the house, Hangar B (located in Chatham Municipal Airport!) is one of our hands-down favorite brunch spots in Chatham. Snag a table outside and watch the planes take off and land - fun for kids! Don't miss the pancakes or the doughnuts...

Chatham outpost of the Wellfleet-originated Mac's seafood restaurant and fish market. Great for a casual dining experience, but they also accept online orders for takeout. Our favorites: the clam strips, the swordfish sandwich, or any of the fish entrees. Added plus - all the fried food is gluten free!

City/town information

If you want to get out of Chatham for a day trip, head out to Provincetown, the northern tip of Cape Cod. We highly recommend a whale watch (we love Dolphin Fleet) for an awe-inspiring encounter with humpbacks, Finbacks, and if you're lucky, a right whale and their calves.
